I wait patiently on the couch for Josh to return. He went to Sally's to buy more dye and other things to bleach his hair.
A few minutes later, Josh steps into the apartment and slams the front door shut.
"Are you ready?" He says excitedly, tapping his hands onto his skinny jeans creating a beat. "Of course I am!"
"Go get ready and I'll meet you in my bathroom." He nods and quickly goes to his room to get ready.
I grab a long black tee that I don't use anymore and throw it over my body so I don't ruin the shirt I was wearing before.
Josh comes into my room carrying gloves, dye, bowls, brush, and bleach.
"I'll do the bleach and you can do the color." I nod and carefully watch him as he puts the chemical into his hair.
Josh's eyes turn red and start to well up with tears. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, it just burns."
About an hour later, it's time to dye his hair. Josh gets out of the shower and sits on the chair he sat in earlier.
"Wear gloves so you won't dye your hands, use this brush, it works much better than fingers, and only put the dye on the places I bleached it." I nod and start to slide the gloves onto my hands, letting go to hear a snapping sound against my wrist.
I dip the brush into the yellow dye and start putting it in his hair, making sure to cover his now blond hair. "Don't I have to rub it in with my fingers?"
"At the end you do."
After I was done dyeing Josh's hair, he puts foil around his head once again and goes on his phone.
Soon enough, his timer went off and he went to take another shower.
"Damn, your hair looks sick!" Josh puts one hand to his head and the other to his hip. "My hair always looks good."
He grabs his phone from his pocket and checks his notifications. His smile turns into a slight frown.
"Later today we should go meet up with Tyler and Jenna." Josh looks up from his phone and stares at me for a few seconds. "Y-yeah, that would be splendid."
He gets up from the chair he was sitting in and walks over to the living room, turning on the television.
"Police found Nickolas Rose trespassing at Columbus Apartments." My breathing hitches and my body goes numb.
"Rose was supposed to be one hundred feet away from ex girlfriend, Y/N Y/L/N, but decided to attempt to walk up to her."
Josh turns his head towards me slowly, too slow for it to be normal. He stands up and walks over to me, holding me close to his chest.
"We need to move, Josh. He knows where we live." He nods and grabs his phone from his pocket dialing Tyler's number
"Hey, Jish!"
"Tyler, Y/N and I are moving."
"Out of state?"
"No. Just some place were that psycho can't get her."
"Are you thinking of a house?
"That would be nice."
Quiet sobs escape my mouth, making Josh walk over to me and placing a loving kiss on my forehead.
"Ty, I have to go."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
Josh hangs up and pulls me over to the couch with him. I sit on his lap and put my head in the crook of his neck.
"We're going to move soon, don't worry." I keep my gaze on his shirt. "We'll start looking tomorrow."
"O-okay." I say in between sobs.
