Gone

Roderia layed snuggly in Erwin's arms. They  went to his room, and stayed on the bed. Erwin's arm was behind her head, her hand gently rubbing circles on the middle of his chest. Both of them had most of their clothing on the floor, save for the underwear and bra.

"Can you really not tell me anything?" Roderia twisted in the bed to face him. His eyes swept over her, and took their place at her eyes.

"This world is not fair, Roderia. I wish I could involve you in so many things, but you are on-"

"The wrong side, yes I know, but Is that truly the reason?" She could feel Erwin flex his muscles underneath her. His eyes were filled with sadness.

"Rivaille doesn't think that trusting you is a good idea." Erwin started to comb her red hair with his fingers, then twirled the hair.

" I almost died today." She whispered. Tears came as she realized this. " I almost died. Dmitri he, was going to bring me to the queen and...and..." Erwin brought her head down to his chest and Roderia cried. Erwin started to envelope her in his arms, giving her his warmth. She doesn't understand. Why is her life at risk? Why does the Queen hunt her down like an animal?

"Erwin. Can you do me a favor?" She lifted her head, to look at him. His sparkling blue eyes never averted from hers.

"Can you hide me from them? From the Brigade?" Erwin swallowed and looked over at the window. Roderia's heart sank as he looked back over at her.

"I...I don't know. You will be putting countless people at risk for being hidden." Erwin made a grab for her hands, but she already pulled away. She grabbed at the blankets to conceal herself. She stood awkwardly at the corner of the bed, away from Erwin. His hand was stretched out to her, expecting her to come back. But she can't.

"If you can't hide me...then..." Roderia slowly backed up and felt her clothing by her feet. She looked down and picked them up. She glanced at Erwin, then dashed into the closet. She pushed her body against the wood door, making sure he cant get in. She threw her clothes on and pushed the door out. Erwin was trying to get his clothes on. But she dropped the blanket and made a run to the door.

"Roderia! Wait!" She heard. "These damn pants.." And then him falling on the ground. Roderia didn't want to leave him. She wanted to stay wrapped in his arms, kissing him slowly.

"Your right Erwin." She looked him in the eyes, a single tear blurring her vision. "I'm a burden to everyone."

She closed the door behind her and ran outside.

Erwin's view

She was gone by the time he opened the door with his pants hanging awkwardly at his waist. Erwin clenched his teeth hard and had to choose between going after her and hide her, resulting in killing almost everyone, or staying and let her go. Let the thing you love the most go, and it will come back. Erwin closed his eyes and shut the door. He banged his head on the wall, slowly sliding down. His head hurt, and he rubbed his temples.

"I would've saved you, Roderia." he whispered to himself. He felt his eyes sting, as he felt the loneliness sink in once again now that she was gone.

Erwin stood up, slowly, and put on a white flannel shirt, rolled the sleeves up to his elbows,  and went to find Rodria.

Roderia's view

The floor was cold, since she forgot her boots in Erwins room. The armor (mostly made up of leather) was on wrong since she did it in a hurry.

She knew that she was a burden. No one wants her, she was always in the way. But that was why she came here, to get out of the way, originally for revenge. She came here to protect what little family she had left. And they are almost gone by now.

It was a dark night, the clouds rolling by, making the darkness cover everything.  The only thing that saves Roderia from tripping is the Lanterns hung up on metal poles, swinging slightly to the wind and flowing its light that way. She stopped in the midst of one, looking around. The dark was always frightening to her, since anyone could come out and steal her. Monsters could kill her. Anything could happen.

Roderia continued on down the road. She was going to a place where no one will search for her. Or most likely already did search for her there. The only place she felt accepted other then here. Her foster home.

I know I have not updated in a bit. Been busy with homework and visiting the hospital for my grandmother. Ill update maybe in two days. depends on how I feel. -Liestria
