Rodria grew tired of staying in the room. Its been three days and nothing has happened. Outside was a beautiful day. Everything seemed like it was normal. No one suspected that Erwin hid Roderia. At least what Rodria knew of. She constantly sat on the bed, waiting for Erwin to come back. But she grew restless and tired. She started to pace around the room, opening and closing the window curtains to look out. There was nothing to do! Erwin was gone doing his business while Roderia sat here like a puppy, waiting for him to come back so she can play with him. She was helpless.

Roderia tried the door handle. It was unlocked. She poked her head outside and saw no one on both sides of the hallway. So she took a step out, careful not to make noise, and made it all the way down to the courtyard without being noticed. She heard the clanging sounds of the the swords and she wanted to get her own hear and join them. But she knew she couldn't.  She had to stay hidden. Roderia looked up at the sky. The clouds slowly drifted across, hiding then showing the sun. Then a bell ringed in her ears.

It was the bell to stop working and go to the cafeteria. She was in the middle of plain sight.

She dashed into the forest, and turned to climb a tree. Her hands were still rough with closing wounds from the last adventure, but she managed to get to the lowest branch and force herself up. She lay hidden in the trees, looking down. Her branch stretch across the courtyard so she had the pefect veiw for anything. She saw people walking to the cafeteria and heard familiar voices. But she was the odd one in the group, so she never made any friends except Liesta who happened to be kings guard. She missed Liesta so much. Why didn't Roderia think to bring her? She might have been glad to come back.

The flood of people came, filling Roderia's view. They all headed to the cafeteria, and Roderia tried hard not to move. But then she heard screams. Roderia's heart began to race as she slowly made her way to the trunk of the tree. Everyone was running, and she heard shouts of anger. Even through the leaves, Roderia could see the flitter of Jackets that held the military police badge.

They have come for her.

She needed to go down there. But she heard them yell for her.

"Where is she? By the order of the queen,  WHERE IS SHE?!" Roderia heard many people yell at them, confused and hungry.

Sickening sounds of bone being crushed filled the air. The heavy stench of metallic irritaed her Roderia's nose.

Blood.

Tears streamed down her face.

"I will kill everyone here if she is not found!" One of the men said. Then she heard a girls voice.

"Shut the fuck up, Kidman." Her voice was so familiar to Roderia that it hurt her to not know who it belonged to. "She will come sooner or later. For now, Find Commander Smith. Bring him in Thirty minutes."

Roderia's body was frozen in place. She couldn't move, but gods know she wanted to. Her tears dripped down, and she banged her head on the trunk. Just go down there, Roderia! Her conscious screamed at her. But her body refused to move an inch. You will get everyone killed! Yet she didn't go down the tree. She couldn't return. Knowing that the queen has plans for her, she couldn't go back. Not even for Liesta...!

"She will come sooner or later." That voice. It belonged to Liesta! But knowing that her best friend came to take her back...made her not want to go. She felt the stinging pain of having betrayal in her heart. Then it felt as if someone had her heart and crushed it. Roderia put a hand to her chest and leaned forward. Her heart was beating too quickly. She glanced down.

Blood splattered on the cement and people screamed.

"Get your weapons!" One boy shouted as the herd of the members swarmed to the weaponary. Roderia started to shake violently. She had to put her hand on her mouth, Her teeth drawing blood from her lips, just to keep from screaming. Her tears streamed down her face as she watched countless soldiers get slaughtered.

Her world was turning crimson with blood. Yet she could stop the murder right now, but she did not. She could not will herself to go down and let the Queen's guard kill her. She wanted to live for Erwin.

Oh god, Erwin.

They left to go find him.

Roderia pinched her thigh until she almost screamed and got herself together. She shakily grabbed the branches and slowly climbed down into the bushes. The stench was overwhelming as she got closer to the cement. Roderia squatted in the bushes, peeling apart leaves so she can see through.

Liesta was walking back and forth, a nonchalant expression on her face. But even with Roderia so far away, she could see the worry hidden in her eyes. Men loitered around her, watching everything. The others went after the group of survey corps members. In the distance, she heard the clinging of metal, the ring of cries. Roderia slowly crept towards the building that housed people. Yet, to get over there would require a great amount of stealth. It was broad daylight and nothing could cover her to get across without looking suspicious.

"Miss, I found Commander Smith."

Roderia snapped her head in that direction.

Erwin had cuts all over him, his clothes ragged and hanging. Liesta walked over to him slowly and Erwin gave her an evil glare filled with hate.

"Now now, Smith...calm yourself." Liesta walked around him then stopped in front of his face. "Where is Roderia?" She asked as she trailed her fingers down Erwins throat. He looked down on her but didn't move. Roderia had to dig her nails in her arm to stop herself from yelling and running over there.

"What do you mean?" His voice sounded dead. His eyes were filled with defiance. Liesta's expression turned cold as she slapped Erwin across the face, the sound thundering everywhere.

Erwin's face was turned to the side from the slap. Yet he looked down at Liesta from the corner of his eyes.

"Where is Roderia?" Liesta said as she kicked him in the shins, bringing Erwin to his knees.

Why would Liesta do such a thing? Roderia's heart was being stomped on by all sorts of people. She fought with herself, debating on if she should give in and give herself up or sneak away while they are distracted.

"I don't know." Erwin said lowly. Roderia saw Liesta get into his face, and she couldn't hear what she said. But Erwin's eyes widened.

"Don't. She didn't do anything." Erwin exclaimed. Liesta got up.

"Take him away."

The men grabbed Erwin who was inconsiderable weak and hauled him off.

"SHE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" Roderia heard him scream. Liesta walked off, and Roderia clenched her teeth tightly together.

Roderia squeezed her eyes shut and opened them forcefully. Her tears became dry.

"Liesta, you are dead." Roderia whispered as she ran across the path to the building.
