The Aftermath

Guyson was sent back to work. His heart was heavy and his worked slowly declined in quality. The Queen revealed to have a  illegitimate child.  So when the king dies, that child will take over.  Roderia was supposed to get the throne,  be raised in royalty for the rest of her days. But the cold Queen successfully killed off any reasons to why her child can't be king. Guyson became the fake uncle to that child.

"Uncle!" The child screamed while running towards Guyson. He looked at the child, the blonde haired small human that seemed as if he owned everything.

Guyson involuntarily opened his arms and caught the boy.

"Tell me again how momma was a hero!!" He said delightful. Guyson gulped from telling this story over and over.

"Now, it began not too long ago, when the king and your mom was married. The king had an affair and had a child. That child was just like you, but thus child didn't deserve to be in the world." Guyson felt tears come up again as he lied to the little boy for the hundredth time. " That child shouldnt have been there, so your brave mom hunted the beast until she was no more. She traced her from orphanages to the brave scouting legion. When the child grew up to be a woman soldier, she already had an affair with the Commander." Guyson held the boy up and made sure the boy couldn't see his face. "When your mom found her, she let her spirit rest in peace, and her lover  so they can be together." Guyson took a deep breath and cleared his throat.

"Your mom made a courageous choice. It was tough for her to make her decisions, but she believed it was right." Guyson clenched his teeth and forced a smile at the smiling boy.

"My mommy was the best!" The boy cheered. "The threat is gone! Long live the king!" The boy held both arms our and ran around in circles. He chanted , "Kill the ugly beast mom!"

Guyson turned around and prayed silently.

He opened hus eyes to see two girls and a man. One brown headed girl was smiling big, showing all teeth and looked at a red haired girl. Roderia. The brown haired girl had her elbow on Roderia's shoulder. And next to her stood commander Smith, His arm around Roderia's waist. They all smiled, and waved at Guyson.

Guyson felt his throat constrict and eyes burn.

He waved back at them.

Then they gently went away, leaving sadness behind but also happiness. And life went on as if they never were even there.
