The Other Side.

Roderia could only think for a split second before she was knocked out. The world around her went dark, her senses failing to pick up anything. Erwin's face was the last thing she saw before she blanked out. His tears soaking the gag, the slight sound of him screaming against the restriant. Roderia could see the vicious smile that the queen threw her, She could feel her life slip away, her body going heavy. Her eyes opened, only to witness her killer. Her very last breath was drawn before pain erupted on the back of her neck.

Eriwn's view

They restrained him when he left Roderia earlier that morning. He was walking down to the office and meeting room, when he heard footsteps behind him. Erwin had no weapons on him, he didn't think that he would need it so soon. But apparently he did. The person behind him pulled on his shoulder and he slammed the figure into the wall, his arms choking them.

It was Dmitri. He was crying softly, rage in his eyes. But they slowly went away as erwin choked him harder.

"What do you want?" Erwin said fiercely. Dmitri choked out few words that made no sense. His hand gripped Erwin's arm and He lessened his hold. Dmitri rubbed his throat and spoke once again.

"I need to get Roderia out of here." he said. Erwin cocked an eyebrow.

"What? You tried to kill her weren't you?" Erwin held a fist and was prepared to punch him. But Something was off about Dmitri.

"It was a cover! what liesta did was also a cover!" Dmitri had small tears protruding out of his eyes, that slowly dripped down to the cement. "The king wanted us to protect her. But he also knew the attempt on her life by the Queen. The king wanted his daughter safe, even if he can't express emotions to her. The best way was to send me and Liesta. Liesta went first, slowy made friends with the girl, and had to choose between killing her or saving her. She saved her many times. Liesta didn't want to hurt any of you! the Queen was catching onto the plan, but we didn't know how!" He took deap breaths. Dmitri punched the wall, breaking skin on his knuckles. "When she finally knew of the plan, she sent the brigade here with Liesta as leader. The Queen paid the soldiers to keep an eye on her, to report anything that seemed suspicious. The soldiers reported her taking you in and Roderia as hostages. But the Queen already knew what me and her were planning to do." Dmitri had full on tears by then, and Erwin just stood awkwardly. "They killed Liesta. I tried to protect her but... i couldn't. The best i could do was kill the soldier and get out. I waited for you guys to get out as well." Dmitri looked at Erwin with apologies.

"And you need her out right now?" Erwin asked hesitantly. Dmitri nodded.

"I found out that the Queen was coming. Reports have made it to her and the queen herself came to finish the job." Fear settled into Erwin's stomach as he thought of what the Queen will do to Roderia.

"Get her out. Now." Erwin said. He wanted to protect Roderia himself, but he couldn't risk it.

Dmitri Bowed low and bounded off to Erwin's room. Erwin looked back for a second and thought, Why can't i protect anyone?

Later that day, Erwin began to doubt Dmitri's words. He sounded so convincing to him, the tears, the way he spoke. Everything yelled that he was telling the truth. But Erwin didn't see anyone coming to kill her.

He was in his office, writing a small report to the king. It was almost night time, the sun slowly going down the sky like an egg yolk. It wasn't long until the walls hid the sun. Erwin got up from his chair and closed the curtains. His door banged open and soldiers flooded into the area. Erwin furrowed his eyebrows and jumped on an incoming sword. The soldier drew back and more came forward. They cut his uniform, opening skin. Blood slowly soaked his shirt, and then he barely saw the butt of a sword handle fly towards him. He grabbed the flying sword and cut the arms off of the soldiers trying to kill him. They parted down the middle some coming behind him. Erwin held his sword, ready to strike if he needed to. Someone cut his legs, drawing him to a kneel position.

"yet he never speaks a word." A woman said. She came from the split of soldiers. Erwin looked at her with hatred and rage.

"What do you want?" He spat. The Queen smiled menacingly. She snapped her fingers and cloth covered his mouth and his hands were tied.

"Why, i want my son to become king." She said. Erwin felt white hot pain develop on the back of his head, his body seeming as if he can't lift it. His vision blurred and he hit the ground hard.
