Erwin left Roderia, and he locked the door from the outside. She was stuck inside her little room, Erwin's room, until someone would unlock the door. Until then, she couldn't really do anything but cry and wallow in her depression. Liesta was gone, and for an unknown reason. She died for god knows what. But all Roderia knew was that she had to do what she did. But why, Roderia had no answer. Erwin thinks that she is wrong. That Liesta is a traitor and Roderia shouldn't mourn. But he doesn't push the issue. But Levi has been rampaging, being cold to everyone. She can hear his yells from across the building. Roderia just stared at the wall. Thinking.
Levi had started liking liestria, he came with erwin to save them both. But now he lost her, and everyone he ever loved.
She heard the door knob jiggle. She went over and put her ear on the wood. The person was pick locking the door. Roderia ran back to the drawer and tried to open it. Her hand gripped the knife tightly and the door slammed open.
Dmitri came burrling in. He had a mad face, a crazy expression. Roderia got into stance with her knife pointed at him.
"Dont come any closer!" She yelled. Dmitri stopped and pulled out a sword. His face was streaked with tears and he was shaking slightly.
"Your coming with me!" He ran at her and Roderia was closed into a corner. Roderia held the knife out, and threw it at him. The sharp point was embedded into his shoulder, but Dmitri kept coming. He grabbed her head.
"Dont fight..."He whispered and banged her head really hard on the wall. Sparks flew across her vision, but she still remained conscious. Dmitri cried in frustration then one last sickening thump made her lose her mind and she crumpled on the ground.
Her head was pounding, her eyes hard to open. The light stung the pupils as if it were a laser and forced them back to being closed. It smelled of metal and the tempature was really hot. Her neck was stiff, and she touched the back of her head. She felt the tender spot where it had been hit a couple of times. She rubbed gently and opened her eyes slowly, adjusting to the light. Her back was against the cobble wall. The night was coming closer. How long was she knocked out? For it to be almost night, the logical explanation was at least 6 hours. Or else the sky would still be bright blue, but it was turning orange and red, a little black at the end. The sun was slipping down the sky silently.
Roderia leaned against the wall, and looked around. She was at the entrance to the royal armory. Where Guyson worked. She entered through the door, and paused. He was nowhere to be found. The heat was blistering hot, and every stone or metal was hot to the touch. Roderia patted herself down and realized that she was unarmed. Not one weapon was on her. Guyson wouldn't mind if she took some weapons would he?
She crossed the room, passing the wet sword on the anvil. It appeared to have been made but got interrupted. Roderia glanced on the floor and caught sight of broken glass. She bent near it and picked up a peice. It seemed to come from a royal lantern, based on the broken hinges and frame of the actual scrap. The oil leaked out of it, dripping slowly into a puddle. Roderia put the glass shard down and stood. Her eyes lead her to a full on fight. It seems as though a struggle of life went on in here. But the culprits are nowhere to be seen. Roderia needed a weapon first above all things.
She glided over to the swords and picked up the best one. The metal shined bright like a diamond. Almost showing her reflection in the sharpness of it. Roderia poked a hole in her jeans and slid the sword through her pants. Now she had a main sword to protect herself. Her eyes cringed back as the fire crackeled loud, making something glitter in the background. Roderia saw a small dagger, its steel glistening in the light. She walked over to the object, and picked up the fragile peice. Its handle was embedded with jewels, its steel...wasn't steel. It was one that looked transparent but you couldn't see through it. The handle was gold, its jewels consisted of emeralds and jades. Roderia guessed that the blade itself was made of diamond. She gently put her fingertips to the razor sharp side and slid her hand down. It cut very well, since she applied almost no pressure and it gave her a cut that looked like a paper cut. It was invisble until blood swelled and fell. Roderia felt guilty about wanting to take this precious blade, but it looked like the only thing that can save her in tough situations. She just knew that she had to take the knife. Roderia slowly slid the blade in a sheath she found and put it in her pocket. She walked back to the door, and looked outside quickly.
No one was there thankfully. So Roderia stepped into the cool night air, the air hitting her face.
She felt a hand tug her shoulder.
"Where do you think your going?" Dmitri yanked hard on her shoulder, but Roderia pulled her sword out and clanged it with his. The two of them bounded off each other, only to come head to head with only swords seperating them both.
"Away you bastard! You think I will just come along with you?" she yelled. Roderia pushed with all her might onto the sword, making him stumble backwards. Her right arm contained the sword and her left grabbed the small dagger.
"No. Thats why I-" He suddenly stopped. Roderia furrowed her eyebrows but he wouldn't continue. Roderia turned around to see what he was looking at.
That's when she saw them.
The queens banners.
They have found her.
