Chapter 6

I got to thank the idiot because if it wasn't for the satisfaction of seeing him like that I would have been nervous when I got on stage. But when I clime the stair of the stage I gave Mr. Peterson a big smile and a kiss on the cheek. He gave me a smile of approval and step aside. I step in front of the crowd and gave them a smile.

"Thank you all for coming and forgive me with all the secrecy like my friend Mr. Peterson said I really like my privacy but now I'm here in front of you because I thought there were to many man standing on this stage, right lady's" they started laughing and I could see some woman commenting that I was right "but I am very grateful for you to come and give me support even if you didn't know who you were supporting. I thank Mr. Peterson for helping me arraying this event for me and I hope you all enjoy yourself tonight. Thank you" everybody applauded and Peterson help me down the stair.

People started presenting themselves to me and some shock my hand that went to about an hour or so until I couldn't with my feet anymore and went to the bar again.

"Hey Alejandro is me again"

"That was... unexpected" I laugh a little by his reaction "I would have never guess that you're my boss"

"Are you scared off me now Alejandro?" I said with a teasing voice. His face look a little more relax when I said that.

"Well to be honest when they call you and you started to walk to the stage I almost broke a glass but now I... to be honest don't know what to say" he look a little nervous.

"Don't worry Alejandro I like you, you're practically my only friend here" he smile at me and nodded

"It's a pleasure to be your friend, would you like another one?"

"Yeah please, can you tell me what is it now?"

"Let's just call it an Ares's special, be right back" him and I laugh until he went to the back I think were they have all the drinks at.

I stayed there until I felt a presence next to me. I turn to the side to look who is was and I could fell the color of my skin drain and the blood in my vain boil.

"Hello miss Ares is a pleasure to meet you finally" he look the same but comparing for the last time I saw him he look more relax and not mad at all. I took a sip of my drink to calm myself, when I was more relax I put my drink down and gave him one of my best fake smiles.

"Hello and who might you be?"

"Am Erick Thompson" he extend his hand to me and I took it.

"Nice to meet you, you own many hotels in America right? and bars too"

"So you have heard of me"

"The name is hard to forget" Literally

"Well that's good do you know that I am a very successful person but am already too old in a year or so am going to retired so I would like you to meet the person who would take my place"

I didn't think he was going to retired. Alejandro brought me the drink and I thank him with a smile when I look at Mr. Thompson and next to him was the last person I thought it would be.

The idiot

"This is my son Daniel Thompson"

You got to be kidding me. Now it doesn't surprise me at all both of them are idiot, father like son.

"Hello, this night is full of surprises for both of us" said Daniel with that stupid smile on his face.

"You have meet?" Mr. Thompson ask

"Yes we have" I answer still looking at the idiot

"Well then I will leave you two to talk." Mr. Thompson stood up and left but gave the idiot a little nod. What was that all about?

"Well I got to say this is the best party I have ever been in. You really took me by surprise, my apologies"

"Well then I won't accept your apologue" I took a sip of my drink and tried to look everywhere but at him.

"look I'm..."

"No, you look" I said now getting angry, I move so I was fully facing him "you are only apologizing because you know that I could be a good investment to your company, and I hate people that step on you but when they see you as an advantage they come and start to kiss your ass so that they can get what they want and I hate does people and right now you're them. So no, I would not be part of anything you got to offer"

His face turn hard and I could see his jaw clench. So I smile at him and turn to my drink. He dint say a word and I had to look at his direction to see if he was still there.

"You know that that is sprit right?" he said

"What?" I look at him

"That's not alcohol that's just sprit you have never tasted Sprit before?"

"Am well I haven't drank Sprit for a really long time" I felt a little embarrass, I can't believe Alejandro has given me this whole time... sprit.

Beside me Daniel was laughing and I have to admit that he had a nice laugh and smile. But I was still mad at him. Alejandro came to me with a smile "Want another one?"

"Alejandro, I can't believe that Ares special is Sprit. Really Alejandro?"

Alejandro started to laugh "I thought you never would have guess"

"Well now I know, but thank anyway and yes I would have another one"

"Well I have to leaven now, it was nice to fight with you and been surprise by you and you been surprise by me but I have to leave early, big meeting tomorrow" he stood up and look at me "it's not the last of us, we will definitely see each other again and I will be forgiven one of this days."

I just look at his with raise eyebrows "Good luck with that"

"Thank you sweetheart" he turn around and disappear through the doors.

"So I see you already meet Daniel" said Mr. Peterson next to me, Alexander gave him a drink quickly and left. "That's perfect. That's why I need you" I look at him curious "your job is to distract him"

"And how exactly am I going to do that? I don't like him, he's so selfish"

He got a little closer and whisper to me "It doesn't matter just think of the advantage this will be, earn his trust and then he will trust you so much that he won't have a clue of what is really happening"

He had a point but... something seams off all of a sodden.
