Chapter 15

I was currently at my building going up to my office where Peter was waiting for me. As the elevator door open I walk out feeling a little weird not seen Joseph in his desk, the building was completely empty.

When I enter my office I stop in mid step, Mr. Peterson was seated at my desk with two tall man behind him.

"Miss. Ares you're finally here" he said with a cheer voice standing from my chair and moving in front of me. "Come seat down, we need to talk about a few matters"

Peter was seated at one of the sofas so I sat next to him. "How is the deal with Mr. Thompson? I hope is good because we are depending on this" he said with a serious expression.

"His people are working on the final details by Monday I think it would be finish" I said with the same serious expression. I really don't like the look he is giving me.

"Good" he started passing and I look at Peter but he just sat there without saying a word. "Ones this all finish we will finally see them fall."

Maybe if he had said those words a few days ago it would have brought happiness but now I am not so sure. Everything is so mess up. I only wanted Mr. Thompson to pay not Daniel he never did anything.

"What exactly is the plan here? Aren't we supposed to be taking down Mr. Thompson not Mr. Daniel?" the question came out without thinking first.

Mr. Peter look at me with worrori and Mr. Peterson stop in his track and look at me. "What's the difference? Don't forget why you are here Ares this is what you have been waiting for those 5 years not only him but his family put you through. If it was his son that took the money all his family plan to put the blame on you, don't forget that"

"I don't think Daniel has anything to do with this" I said again without thinking.

Mr. Peterson took a deep breath and got closer to where I was. "You have been spending a lot of time with Mr. Daniels"

"Yes, just like you ask me to" I said looking at him.

"Yes, well you must also know that he loves his family, he would do anything to protect them, ones he knew that his little brother could go to prison don't you think that he would do anything in his power to not make that happen?"

I knew he was right, even though I didn't want to believe it I was still that little girl that wanted to be accepted by everyone, that girl who wanted to fall in love and have the dream job. And I know now I couldn't ever go back.

So, I just nodded and Mr. Peterson smile "Good, remember that this family destroyed you without any reason. Tomorrow is the big charity event, you got him to invite you, so is even better, you will meet the whole family. You need to have their trust just like you manage to get Daniel's, make them allow you into their family and their business our goal is to become close partners." He said thoughtful "peter I need you to prepare her" then look at me "This is your only change to make a good impression"

"Ones I get there trust what's next?" I ask really curios; it has already been a month and I have not seen or heard the true plan"

"One step at a time Ares un step at a time" he said standing up and taking his things. "Well now I have to go out of town again, inform me when you get their trust , that's when the fun started" he took his jacket and walk out of the office followed by his two bodyguards.

I need to concentrate, remember why you are here Ares this is what you are supposed to be doing. Mr. Peterson is right the Thompsons did this to me even Daniel. I wanted to hate him but even with everything that Mr. Peterson said I couldn't seem to hate him all that comes to my mind is what happen last night.
