Chapter 26

It was already 11 o clock at night and the whole family was home, however Mr. Thompson and Daniel weren't here yet.

"where could they be? And why don't they answer their phone?" Mrs. Thompson said paising around the living room.

"Mom calm down they always get home late" said Denisse to calm their mom, even though she seems to be also scared for her father and brother.

"Yes, but they always answer their phone"

I do have to admit that I to was getting a little worried. It has been more than 9 hours sense they went to their emergency business call. As soon Mrs. Thompson started to get worried, I send Luis to find them, but we still haven't gotten any news.

I brough a glass of water for Mrs. Thompson so she could relax a little.

"Here you go drink this and sit-down Mrs. Thompson we don't want you to get stress" she surprisingly listens to me and drank the whole water

"thank you honey, but I know him, he always answers my every call even if he is in an important meeting. It was a deal we made when we meet, and he has never broken that promise"

I was too worried, Daniel texted me when he got to the office and when they left but then he just stops writing back.

The room was silent, Mathew was at a corner tapping his shoes and Denisse was sited next to her mom calming her down. It wasn't until my phone started ringing that they all stop everything they were doing and look at my phone

"Is it Luis?" said Mrs. Thompson standing up

"Yes, its him" I said exaltedly, and answer the phone

"Hello, did you find them?"

"Yes Mr. Nemesis but it's not good you better bring them to the MSD hospital" I was shock by what he said and that frighted Mrs. Thompson

"where are they did something happen?" Mrs. Thompson ask eagerly

"We are on our way" I hung up the phone and started to take all of our things "we need to go to the MSD hospital"

"I knew something must have happen"

We all took our cars and drove to the hospital that Luis mention. I have never felt like this in my entire life, my heart was betting fast and I couldn't help it. This feeling was scarier than when they told me that I was going to be put in jail for 10 years. Please god don't let anything happen to him.

It was Mathew driving us to the hospital, so we got there in less than 15 minutes. Which we were all glad. We abandon the car in the middle of the hospital and quickly went to the front desk.

There was Luis waiting patiently for us. Mrs. Thompson was the first one to get to him

"Is my son okay?" she desperately asks

"yes, mam he is fine, but Mr. Thompson is in surgery right now they had an accident getting home. They still don't have new on him, but I can take you to Mr. Daniel"

Mrs. Thompson was happy for his son but look nervous and scared for her husband.

"Thank you, Luis," I said with relive.

Daniel is okay thank god

A nurse came to us "Hi you must be the family of Mr. Daniel, right?" They all nodded still shock by the news "only family member can come in, the rest must stay here"

I was disappointed by the rules but either way stayed behind

"What happend Luis?" I said when the family left to Daniel room. I still dint understand what happen.

Luis pull me to a corner out of ear shot, "They were found and hour later from the accident, Daniel was out of the car with a broken leg, but Mr. Thompson was the one who had the bigger impact. They never call the family because all of their thing were taken, including identification and money"

"So it was a robbery"

"Yes"

....

An hour pass and Luis and I were waiting in the waiting area when the whole family went out of the room.

I stood up quickly and waited for them to come to me before asking them how was he. However, I couldn't ignore the way Mathew was looking at me but all I care for was Daniel.

"He is fine, well with a broken leg, He want to see you" said Denisse

I was really nervous to see him for some reason but exited at the same time. I walk to the room and nock. I heard Daniel's voice indicating to walk in and I did.

"hey" he said existed but tiredness on his eyes.

I couldn't help my reaction but the feeling of losing him just hurt a lot. So I run to him and kiss him, trying to express the happiness of seen him but the worriedness of losing him and I felt like he could feel it. It wasn't until my body crash to his that I pull away scared that I would hurt him.

"I am sorry" I said looking at his leg

"Don't worry it's just for a couple of months"

"I am glad you are okay, I really am" I said

I stayed in his room for a while until the doctor walk in with a nurse. She seems to be really eager to walk in and the way she looks at Daniel it was clear why.

"Hello, I am Doctor Smith" the doctor said extending his hand to me.

"Hi, I am Ares" I shook his hand however his hand lingers in mine for to long for my comfort. It wasn't until Daniel clear his throat that the doctor pulls away.

He looks a little embarrassed and put his focus on Daniel "How are you feeling?"

"Good, now that my girlfriend is here" he emphasizes the word girlfriend.

I look at him shock, sense when? I ask myself. Daniel ignores my angry stare and gave Dr. Smith one of his own.

The doctor just nodded and look at the monitor checking to see if everything was okay.

"do you want some water?" I ask Daniel so I had an excuse to leave from embarrassment. To be honest I dint know if a was embarrassed for the doctor or for myself.

"Yes please" I nodded and left to get the water.

When I reach the cafeteria, I went to get the bottle and saw some snack that Daniel might want

"Today has been a day full of dajavu" I was surprise by the sudden conversation. When I look at the person next to me it surprises me to see him speak to me.

"Oh, Mathew you scare me" I said while taking the snake I wanted for Daniel still mad at the conversation we had in the kitchen. "Daniel has been in other accidents?" I ask genially worried that he has been into many accidents. Daniel needs to get more bodyguards.

"No, just the reactions of bad news" Mathew said while taking some snaks for himself.

I was completely confused now "What do you mean?"

"Some people's eyes pick more than any physical emotion, and today I saw a flash from the past drew does eyes" this time he said it looking completely at me.

My heart started beating so hard that I was scared that he could hear it. When he saw that I dint say anything he continue talking.

"When we were waiting for news of dad and Daniel, I saw the same expression of impatient to hear what would happen and when we got the call and heard what happen the same shook of your worst nightmare was seen drew your eyes.... Alena"
