"Get...out," I choke on the words, struggling to breathe, struggling to process what I just witnessed. I refuse to believe it, no matter how many times one tells me this, it will never sync in, it will never stick in my mind, it will never be categorized as 'true', it can't.
"Now why would I leave when I just got here?"
"Get out," I repeat, this time, my voice more hoarse and demanding.
He blatantly dodges my question, striding further in, barefoot. His eyes scan the open space in the house, as I decide to break away from the wall that was previously supporting me.
"Nice place," he blankly conveys, turning to face me.
"Why...why are you here?!" I demand, waiting for him to respond.
"Come on, Vivian, now that's no way to treat a guest," Alakade sneers.
"You are no guest, you're a trespasser, breaking in an entry. I want you to leave, now!" I sternly order.
He shrugs his shoulders, "why you gotta be so salty?"
"Because, that's the flavor I choose to be, do you have a problem with that, Vincent?"
He slightly chuckles under his breathe as I cross my arms over my chest. He strides further into my house, as my infuriation only increases furthermore. He jaunts to the kitchen casually, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his navy blue denim jeans.
Alakade pulls out a barstool from under the extended counter connected to the oasis, taking a seat and turning to face me.
"To answer your questions. That's why I'm here," he enduringly states.
"Well, you're out of luck, I don't have any questions, so go. Don't forget about our agreement," I spat.
"That little agreement won't be commenced until you believe," he remarks.
I stay silent for a moment, leaving his words to linger in the isolated space between us.
"Look, Vincent," I spit his name as if it were poison, "I don't need a kibitzer telling me unwanted information that is probably all lies, I don't need you to tell me a single thing. And besides, why should you care if I believe?" I question. "Because me and you," I gesture a finger between him and I, "we've got nothing close to a friendly relationship," I point out in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Thanks for pointing out the obvious, Faith, and you want to know the reason why I want you to believe, well...there's a reason..." he drags on his sentence to extreme measures, making the anticipation rise from within me.
"But, I'm not going to tell you." Childish.
At that very moment, all of my anticipation and slivers of excitement begin to decline and flutter to zero. Involuntarily, my face drops when his words are registered in my mind.
"Oh, I'm sorry, did you want to know?" He asks, in a sickly sweet tone that I know is nothing more than the mockery of my curiousness. "Well too bad, we don't always get everything we want in this world, ain't that right, Vivian?" At the spit of his devilish words, a certain anger flutters within my stomach, spreading like a rapid inferno to every inch of my insides. The feeling urges me to slap that smug smirk right off his flawless face, but I restrain myself, deciding to settle it with words instead.
"don't you dare talk about my life like that! That's none of your business anyways, don't be sticking your nose where it doesn't belong, or you'll wish that you have never met me!"
"Is that a threat?" He questions, leaning intimidatingly close in his chair, his eyes solely scrutinize my face, not sparing a second glance at anything else...just me.
My words seem to not come. The more that I try, the less that comes out, practically leaving me speechless for minutes; but once I find my words again, I answer his question.
"Yes, Alakade," I say his name normally this time, with no hatred laced within the letters, "it is a threat, because the more you learn about me, the more you're going to wish that you just stayed away from me," I state, not going into furthermore detail with him, because quite frankly, he doesn't need to know.
There are things that I know and no else does. There are things that I've done that my friends don't even know about, there are events in this world that they don't even know about, and I want it to stay that way. If they knew, they'd probably run, forget about me, and run off telling my stories to others and sooner or later, become a villain in a new Disney movie.
It's very possible.
Very, very, possible.
