A raging sensation of emotion raises to the mention of his name, I don't want to hear that name again.

"You will have to go to him, seek answers from him," she conveys, but with each second I want to push the feelings his name brought up far away, somewhere buried where the other part of me is lying underneath, hiding and cowering away.

I''m jarred from my thoughts when my Mother's expectant face is painted upon her high cheekbones.

"What?"

"Talk to him," she says, nodding her head towards the door, but I'm paralyzed. So, to by time, I formulate yet another question.

"How did you become the leader? The Alpha?"

"That's a whole other story for another time, for now, you must go. Seek your answers, you will find them...I promise you," she replies. With her words lingering, she stands from her chair, and strides towards the side door. I watch as she slips through it, disappearing within the murky darkness.

I remain seated, for what seems like hours though in reality it's only a minute. With a slow stand, I stride towards the door, and walk out of the doorway, but it's a if everything on my mind suddenly vanishes when I step through, like entering a portal to another dimension.

The doorway affect.

I stride down the hall, that is as dark as the dark skies that linger through the transparent glass that could use a good wash. A cold breeze comes running down my spine, like a viscous whip to the back. I turn to see where the wind had come from, my eyes immediately locking and narrowing on an open porch door, leading to a balcony.

I go straight towards it, placing a hand on the handle. I'm about to close it shut to halt the frigid air from entering, but I stop instantly when from the corner of my eye, I catch a glimpse of a male stature. But not just anyone, but the one I've been avoiding.

Talk to him.

My Mother's words echo inside my head.

I stand there, watching him, contemplating inside my head whether or not if I want to go out a talk. He stands, leaned over with his elbows resting on the rungs of the large balcony that faces the front of the mansion. The balcony seems to be a large half circle, expanding from the end of the exterior and stopping about twenty feet from the entrance and the grand pillars.

I let out a quiet sigh of defeat, the questions too powerful for me to resist. It seems as if he's the only one that has the answers to my questions, and I hate it. I walk silently up from behind him, coming up to his right side and settling my elbows on the balcony two feet away from him. He doesn't look away from his straight forward gaze, and I don't give him a glance either. Far off in the distance, underneath he treeline, comes howls, separated by five second increments. I let out a low, nervous breath, so low that he can't hear.
