"Thank you for a wonderful night Shawn, it was amazing." I say, he smiles.
"No problem, I had a great time as well!" He says.
"It felt nice to get out for once." I say.
"Right, it's nice to go out some nights." He says, I nod.
"Would you like to come in?" I ask.
"Sure, why not, I've got nothing to do after this besides sleeping." He says, I laugh as we enter my apartment, once we enter, we see my best friend Linsey and my daughter Lizzie up watching a movie, Linsey looked back at us and Lizzie's little head pops up from behind the couch cushion.
"Mommy!" My three year old yells as she gets off the couch eagerly and runs to me, I hug her as I pick her up.
"Hi sweetie, did you have fun with aunt Linsey?" I ask her she nods.
"Awnty Linsey let me stay wate." She says with a smile as she knew it was past her bedtime a little, I giggle.
"Well I'm glad she did." I say to Lizzie.
"Thanks for watching her Linsey, I'll see you tomorrow." I say to her as she walks out.
"Lizzie, I want you to meet someone. This is my friend Shawn, can you say hi?" I ask her, she smiles as she waves to him and shyly puts her head in the crook of my neck.
"Hi Shawn." She says.
"Hi Lizzie, it's nice to meet you." He says as they shake hands, she lets out a giggle, she brings her head from my neck and reaches for Shawn, Shawn immediately picks up what's going on and grabs her.
"Do you like him?" I ask her, she nods with a big smile on her face.
"He's nice." She says, I laugh as I nod.
"He's very nice." I say.
"And I'll be over here a lot more now that I've met you cutie!" He says as he tickles her tummy a bit, she can't help but let out a giggle.
"Really?" She asks and he nods.
"Yep, I hope that you know that I like your mommy very much." He says, I smile.
"Do you like him a lot mommy?" She asks looking at me, I nod.
"I do like him a lot." I say.
"Is he your boyfriend mommy?" She asks, I giggle.
"I mean-" I'm interrupted by Shawn.
"I am your mommy's boyfriend, are you okay with that Lizzie?" He asks her, she nods with a big smile.
"Yeah." She says.
"Okay, Lizzie, I think it's time for you to go to bed, say goodnight to Shawn." I say as he hands her to me.
"Goodnight Shawn. Wait, mommy, can Shawn and you put me to bed?" She asks, I nod.
"Of course we can." I say as we head to her room, I put her right into her bed and pull her blanket to her.
"Would you like for me to sing you to sleep?" He asks, she nods.
"Okay." He giggles
He begins to sing If I Could Fly by One Direction, at first Lizzie is all smiles as she hears Shawn's beautiful singing voice and then soon starts to drift off to sleep, Shawn continues to quietly sing as we leave her room quietly and close the door gently.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Lizzie tonight, I was gonna tell you, but I didn't think she would be up, but I guess this way worked out better, you got to meet her." I say, he smiles as he pulls me in and gives me a gentle kiss.
"I don't care, you're an amazing mother, I can't believe the father would leave the both of you, but I'm kinda glad at the same time because, I think I was meant to be in her life, and I want to be, I know I'm not her biological father, but I want to be the father figure in her life (Y/N), I don't want her going through life without a father, she needs one in her life." Shawn says, tears are in my eyes.
"Shawn, I would love if you were a father figure to her, I would love nothing more than that." I say as I give him a small but sweet peck.
