I did a single mom imagine, might as well do a single dad imagine!
I sit on the small park bench reading my book, it was such a beautiful day that I couldn't waste it sitting on the couch, as I'm reading, I see a little figure walking towards me, I look over and see a little girl, no older than three, walking towards me, she had tears in her eyes, I put my book down.
"Sweetheart, are you lost?" I ask, as she comes closer to me, she nods as the tears drop down her tiny cheeks.
"Y-Yes." She hiccups.
"Come here." I say, she walks towards me, I help her up and sit her on my lap.
"Who are you here with?" I ask her.
"M-My d-daddy." She sobs, I give her a small hug.
"Don't worry sweetie, we'll find your daddy, okay?" I tell her as I look down at her, she nods.
"Now do you know your daddy's phone number?" I ask her, she shakes her head.
"Where was the last place you remember seeing your daddy?" I ask her.
"B-By the ice cream, s-stand." She says as she points in the direction she just came from.
"Come on sweetie, will go back over there and see if we can find him." I tell her as I help her off, I grab my book in one hand and grab her tiny one in my other hand, I knew her father must be worried and I knew he would have to be yelling for her.
"What's your name sweetie?" I ask her.
"I-Isabel." She says, I nod, I knew if I had got her name then I would know who her dad was if he was yelling for her, as we got closer I could hear the sound of a voice yelling.
"ISSIE! ISABEL!" I hear the voice yell.
"D-DADDY!" She yells, she runs out of my hand and in that direction, I run after her just Incase it isn't him, as I run after her I watch as she runs to a man who has a look of relief on his face with a few tears on his cheeks as well, she's in his arms by the time I'm caught up with them.
"Isabel Rose Mendes, you scared the heavens out of me, never run off like that again, you almost made daddy have a heart attack." He says.
"S-Sorry daddy." She says as she begins to calm down, he picks her up and as he does he looks right at me.
"D-daddy, this nice lady helped me find you." She says pointing to me, her father walks up to me.
"Thank you, so so much for finding her and bringing her over to me, I don't what I would've done if she was taken, uh." He says as he holds her close, waiting for me to say my name, I smile.
"(Y/N), and It was nothing, I just seen her walking over to me, she had tears on her face and I knew instantly she was lost and just, thought she needed to find who she came with and I'm glad I was the one who found her wondering around." I say, he smiles.
"You're an angel (Y/N), I can't thank you enough." He says, I smile.
"I should probably get going, I'm glad she found you." I say as I begin to turn around, but a hand stops me.
"Please, you helped my daughter find her way back to me, the least you could do is join us for dinner tonight as a way for me to repay you." He says.
"Are you sure?" I ask, he nods.
"Absolutely, if you have a paper or pen anywhere I'll write my address down." He says.
"All I have is my book and phone on me." I say.
"Give me your number, I'll text you my address." He says, I pull out my phone and he does the same and we enter our numbers, he immediately text me his address.
