I smile at the old woman as I hand her goods and change to her, she thanks me as she carries on to the next market in the village, my younger sister Maycee and I always loved to come and help my mother with her market she had, my mother had a love for making things, specifically knitting, she like bed to do that, she would make things like rugs or blankets, she also loved to bake, she was most famous for her cookies and brownies that she would bake, she always makes sure to make tons every night so that way she has enough for each day.
"(Y/N), that boy you like is coming over here." Maycee whispers to me, I look over and there he was walking towards us, his name was Shawn and he been coming here for two week and that was all it took for me to fall for him, he smiles at me as he comes closer to us.
"Hello again (Y/N), it's nice seeing you again." He says smiling and I can't help but smile back:
"Nice to see you to Shawn, what can I get for you today?" I ask him, he thinks for a second before answering.
"Give some cookies today." He says, I hand him the bad and he hands me over the money.
"Keep the change." He says and I smile at him.
"Thanks Shawn." I say and he smiles back.
"No problem, also I wanted to ask you something." He says and I look up at him as I put the money away.
"Sure what is it?" I ask him, he rubs his palms on his pants a bit, I've noticed that when we talk he does that, a sign he's nervous.
"Well I was wondering if you were going to the ball for the prince this Saturday?" He asks and I smile.
"I would, but, I don't have the money for a dress." I say and he frowns a bit, but then perks up a bit.
"What if I pay for your dress!?" He asks, I look at him in shock.
"No Shawn, you don't have to do that, I'm fine with not going." I say.
"I won't take no for an answer (Y/N)." He says and I sigh.
"Fine." I say and he smiles.
"You wanna go right now?" He asks and I laugh.
"I can't I'm working." I say.
"Just go sweetheart." My mom says.
"Are you sure?" I ask and she nods.
"Go, your sister and I can manage till you get back." She says and I smile, I go up to hug and thank my mom before going with Shawn. ______________________________________________________________
"Now, I want you to get whatever dress you want, it's my treat to you." Shawn says and I look over at him.
"Shawn, are you sure?" I ask and he nods.
"Yes I promise, no matter how expensive, it's on me." He says and I nod, we start looking though some dress shops, but I'm not finding any, I start to look around at some other shops close by so I don't leave Shawn when I find a dress that I had seen before, and one that I remember dreaming of having when I first seen it.
