10; Petrichor

Scent of rain,
Storm overhead
As we drive home.

Clouds growling,
Your hair fallen soft
On your shoulders.

You say to me,
We should
Go for ice cream,
Escape the gray,
Adventure together.

One day, one day,
I nod and say,
Let's.

And we smile
In the quiet,
At our thoughts,
At raindrops
And petrichor.
