Later that night, Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy were walking down the path to Queen Chrysalis's castle which was hidden in a dark forest on the far right of Discorded Equestria. They suddenly stopped, and looked up at a sign in front of them. "Haunted Forest. Changelings Castle. Mile: I'd turn back if I were you." Fluttershy said as she read the sign. "From now on, we're on enemy ground." Rarity said. "You should have something to protect yourself with, darling." "She-She can have my changeling remover." Fluttershy said as she held up a spray can. "Does it work?" Apple Bloom asked. "No, but it's wonderful for threatening with." Fluttershy said. "Oh." Apple Bloom said. "Oh, here." Pinkie Pie said as she tried to take the changeling remover from Fluttershy. "Give me that thing!" Fluttershy stepped back, and the spray slipped from her hoof, and hit the ground. They gasped as Pinkie Pie said "Oh, did-did you see that?" "Oh, look out!" Rarity said. "You know something?" Pinkie Pie asked. "I believe they're spooks around here." "That's ridiculous!" Rarity said "Spooks. That's silly."

"Don't you believe in spooks?" Fluttershy asked. "No." Rarity said. "Why only-!" She stopped talking when she slipped, and fell. They helped her as Apple Bloom said "Oh! Oh, Rarity! Oh! Oh, oh. Oh, are you-are you all right?" Rarity nodded as Fluttershy began to shake in fear, and said "I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks. I do, I do, I do, I do, I do. I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks! I do, I do, I do, I do, I do, I do!" At Queen Chrysalis's castle, the changeling queen was looking at Fluttershy through her crystal ball as she cackled and said "You'll believe in more than that before I've finished with you!" She looked at a changeling captain, and said "Take your army to the Haunted Forest, and bring me that filly and her dog! Do what you like with the others, but I want her alive and unharmed! They'll give you no trouble, I promise you that. I've sent a little insect on ahead tp take the fight out of then. Take special care of those ruby slippers. I want those most of all. Now, fly!" The changeling captain nodded, and he and his army started flying in the air as Queen Chrysalis said "Fly! Bring me that filly and her slippers! Fly, fly, fly!"

As Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy walked down the path to the changeling queen's castle, a bug suddenly landed on Fluttershy's nose as she yelped, and said "What's that?! What's that?! Take it away, take it away, take it away!" "Hold still, hold still!" Rarity said as she slapped the bug away. Suddenly, they heard screeching, and they looked up to see the changeling army coming towards them, and they screamed as they ran for their lives. The changeling army caught up with them, one of them grabbed Apple Bloom as she screamed while another changeling grabbed Winona. Rarity swung at the changelings with her axe as she said "Go away now!" "Help! Help!" Pinkie Pie said as the changelings tromped on her. Fluttershy tried to fight as she said "Why I'll-!" One of the changelings then slapped her as she said "Foul! Foul!" The changelings tore Pinkie Pie as she said "Help! Help! Help! Help! Help!" Then the changelings then flew away as Apple Bloom screamed in terror while Winona barked in fear.
