In the public square, Trixie and Apple Bloom were about to take off in the green hot air balloon as everypony cheered. "Good ponies of Discorded Equestria, this is positively the finest exhibition ever to be shown." Trixie said. "I, your unicorn of Discorded Equestria, am about to embark upon a hazardous and technically unexplainable journey into the outer stratosphere. To confer, converse, and otherwise hob-nob with my brother and sister unicorns. And I hereby decree that until what time, if any, that I return, Pinkie Pie, by virture of her highly superior brains, shall rule in my stead...assisted by Rarity, by virtue of her magnificent heart, and Fluttershy, by virtue of her courage! Obey them as you would me! And...ah, well! That's all." Then, Winona started barking at a white cat in a mare's hooves as she jumped out of the basket. "Oh, come back here!" Apple Bloom said. "Winona!" As she got out of the basket, she said "Come back! Oh, don't go without me! Ah'll be right back! Winona!" "Stop that dog!" Rarity said. "This is a highly irregular procedure!" Trixie said as the hot air balloon started to rise. "This is absolutey unprecedented!"

Rarity gasped as she said "Oh! Help me! The balloon's going up!" Trixie yelped as she said "This ruined my exit!" "Help!" Rarity said. Apple Bloom gasped in shock as she said "Oh! Come back! Don't go without me! Please come back!" "I can't come back!" Trixie said. "I don't know how it works!" "Oh!" Apple Bloom said. "Goodbye, everypony!" Trixie said as they floated away. "Goodbye! Goodbye!" Everypony said as they waved goodbye." Apple Bloom got really upset as she said "Oh, now Ah'll never get home!" "Stay with us, then, Apple Bloom." Fluttershy said. "I mean, that is, if you don't mind. After all, we all love you. We don't want you to go." "Oh, that's very kind of you." Apple Bloom said. "But, this could never be like Sweet Apple Acres in Equestria. Auntie Applejack must have stopped wondering what happened to me by now. Oh, Pinkie Pie what am Ah going to do?!" Pinkie Pie looked up to see the big pink bubble floating towards them as she said "Look! Here's somepony who can help you!" Everypony gasped in awe as Princess Celestia emerged from the pink bubble, and approached Apple Bloom who said "Oh, will ya'll help me? Can you help me?"

"You don't need to be helped any longer." Princess Celestia said. "You've always had the power to go back to Equestria." "Ah have?" Apple Bloom asked. "Then why didn't you tell her before?!" Pinkie Pie asked. "Because she wouldn't have believed me." Princess Celestia said. "She had to learn it for herself." Rarity looked at Apple Bloom as she said "What have you learned, Apple Bloom?" "Well, Ah-Ah think that it...that it wasn't enough just to want to see Uncle Big Mac and Auntie Applejack, and it's that if Ah ever go looking for my heart's desire again, Ah won't look any further than mah own backyard. Because if it isn't there, Ah never really lost it to begin with." Apple Bloom said. "Is that right?" Princess Celestia nodded as she said "That's all it is." "But that's so easy!" Pinkie Pie said. "I should have thought of it for you." "I should have felt it in my heart." Rarity said. "No." Princess Celestia said. "She had to find it out for herself." She looked at Apple Bloom as she said "Now, those magic slippers will take you home in two seconds." Oh." Apple Bloom said. "Winona too?" Princess Celestia nodded as she said "Winona too." "Oh, now?" Apple Bloom asked. "Whenever you wish." Princess Celestia said. "Oh, dear." Apple Bloom said. "That's too wonderful to be true! Oh, it's-it's going to be so hard to say goodbye. Ah love you all, too." She looked at Rarity as she said "Goodbye, Rarity." As Rarity started to cry, Apple Bloom said "Oh, don't cry. You'll rust so dreadfully." She gave her the oil can as she said "Here-Here's your oil-can. Goodbye."

Rarity sniffed as she said "Now I know I've got a heart, darling. Cause it breaking!" Apple Bloom then looked at Fluttershy as she said "Oh. Goodbye, Fluttershy. You know, Ah know it isn't right, but Ah'm going to miss the way you used to holler for help before you found your courage." Fluttershy sniffed a little as she said "Well, I would've never have found it if it hadn't been for you, Apple Bloom." Apple Bloom then looked at Pinkie Pie as she said "Ah think Ah'll miss you most of all, Pinkie Pie." Pinkie Pie then started crying her eyes out as she, Rarity, and Fluttershy hugged Apple Bloom. "Are you ready now?" Princess Celestia asked. Apple Bloom nodded as she said "Yes." She looked at Winona as she said "Say goodbye, Winona." Winona barked sadly as she waved goodbye with her paw. Apple Bloom looked at Princess Celestia as she said "Yes, Ah'm ready now." "Then, close your eyes, and tap your hooves together three time." Apple Bloom then closed her eyes, and tapped her hooves wearing the ruby slippers three times. "And think to yourself, there's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home." "There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home." Apple Bloom said. She then teleported away.

-In Sweet Apple Acres in Equestria-

In her bedroom, Apple Bloom was lying on her bed while Applejack placed a cloth on her forehead as she said "There's no place like home. There's no place like home. There's no place like home." "Apple Bloom! Apple Bloom!" Applejack said as she started shaking her niece. "It's me, Aunt Applejack! Wake up, sugarcube! Apple Bloom! Apple Bloom, dear. It's Aunt Applejack, darling!" Apple Bloom then woke up, and smiled at her aunt as she said "Oh, Auntie Applejack, it's you!" Applejack nodded, and said "Yes, darling!" Just then, Trixier entered the room as he said "Hello, there! Anypony home? I-I just dropped by because I heard the little filly got caught in the big..." He looked at Apple Bloom as he said "Well, she seems all right now." "Eeyup." Big Mac said. "She got quite a bump on the head. We kinda thought there for a minute she was going to leave us." "Oh." Trixter said. "But, Ah did leave you, Uncle Big Mac, that's the trouble!" Apple Bloom said. "And Ah tried to get back for days and days!" Applejack then patted Apple Bloom's head in comfort as she said "There, there. lie quiet now. You just had a bad dream." "No." Apple Bloom said. "Sure." Bubble Berry said. "Remember me? Your old pal, Bubble Berry?" "And me, Elusive?" Elusive asked. "You couldn't forget my face, could you?" Butterscotch asked.

"No." Apple Bloom said. "But it wasn't a dream! It was a place!" She pointed at Bubble Berry, Elusive, Butterscotch, and Trixter as she said "And you, and you, and you, and you were there!" "Oh." Trixter said as he, Bubble Berry, Elusive, Butterscotch, Applejack, and Big Mac laughed a little. "But, you couldn't have been, could you?" Apple Bloom asked. "Oh, we dream lots of silly things when we-!" Applejack tried to say, but Apple Bloom interrupted her as she said "No, Aunt Applejack. This was a real, truly live place. And Ah remember that some of it wasn't very nice, but most of it was beautiful. But just the same, all Ah kept saying to everypony was, Ah want to go home, and they sent me home." They just looked at her as she said "Doesn't anypony believe me?" "Of course we believe you, Apple Bloom." Big Mac said. "Oh, but anyway, Winona, we're home!" Apple Bloom said as Winona jumped on her bed, and licked her face. Applejack then hugged Apple Bloom who hugged back as she said "Home! And this is mah room! And ya'll are all here! And Ah'm not going to leave here ever, ever again, because Ah love you all! Oh, Aunt Applejack, there's no place like home!" And as she promised, she never left her home, and she eventually got her cutie mark when she discovered her special talent.
