As they ran down the corridor, Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Winona went behind a recess, and Queen Chrysalis, and the changeling guards went past them. They peered out, and once they saw that the close was clear, they ran back into the hall, and turned left as Pinkie Pie said "It's no use trying the doors again! Which room is it?" Flutterhy then heard the sound of Queen Chrysalis coming for them as she said "They're coming back!" "Ohhh!" Apple Bloom said in fear. "Oh, upstairs! Quickly!" Pinkie Pie said as they went up the stairs. "Go on!" Rarity said. Queen Chrysalis and the changeling guards ran back into the hall as the changeling queen spotted them, and said "There they go! Ah, now we've got them!" She looked at the changeling guards as she said "Half of you go that way! Half you go that way!" Half of the changeling guards went one way while the other half went the other way as Queen Chrysalis said "Go! Go!" Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Winona ran down the stairs, and into the battlement as Fluttershy said "Where-Where do go now?! Pinkie Pie pointed in front of her as she said "This way! Come on!"

The changeling guards ran out of the tower as Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Winona ran along the battlement. They ran into the hall, but they were suddenly blocked by the other changeling guards as Apple Bloom screamed. They ran back, only to be blocked by the changeling guards that were chasing them. Queen Chrysalis then appeared as she approched them, and said "Well, ring around the rosy, a pocket full of spears! Thought you'd be pretty foxy, didn't you? Well, I'm going to start in on you right here one after the other!" As they trembled in fear, the changeling queen held up a lit torch with his magic, and said "How about a little fire, Pinkie Pie?" She placed the torch on Pinkie Pie's hoof as she said "No, no, no, no!" "Ohh! Ohh! Ohh!" Apple Bloom said in fear. Pinkie Pie waved her burning hoof around as she said "Help! I'm burning! I'm burning! I'm burning! Help! Help! Help!" Apple Bloom grabbed a nearby bucket of water, and threw it at Pinkie Pie who said "Help!" Some of the water hit Queen Chrysalis in the face, and she began to wail in agony as she started to melt, and said "Ohh, you cursed brat! Look what you've done! I'm melting! Melting! Oh, what a world! What a world! Who would have thought a good little filly like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness?! Ohhh! Look out! Look out! I'm going! Ohhhh! Ohhhhhh!"

Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Winona, and the changeling guards just stood there while feeling stunned as they stared at the puddle of the melted remains of Queen Chrysalis, and the leader of the changeling guards named Thorax said "She's-She's dead! You've killed her!" "Ah-Ah didn't mean to kill her!" Apple Bloom said as she pointed at Pinkie Pie. "Really, Ah didn't! It's-It's just that she was on fire!" "Hail to Apple Bloom!" Thorax said. "The wicked changeling queen is dead!" "Hail! Hail to Apple Bloom!" The rest of the changeling guards said. "The wicked changeling queen is dead!" "You mean you're-you're happy about it?" "Very happy." Thorax said. "Now, she won't be able to rule us anymore." Apple Bloom looked at the crown in the puddle as she said "The crown! May we have it?" Thorax nodded eagerly as he said "Please! And take it with you!" "Oh, thank you so much!" Apple Bloom said as she took the crown from the puddle. "Now we can go back to Trixie, and tell her Queen Chrysalis is dead!" "The wicked changeling queen is dead!" Thorax said. "The wicked changeling queen is dead!" The rest of the changeling guards said "The wicked changeling queen is dead!" Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Winona then went back to Emerald Canterlot.
