Hakuna's room
Sunday morning
11:30am

Garden(say it like dat) -SZA, played throughout my room on my MacBook Air as I tended to my new locs.

The house was empty with my parents leaving on a date, and Juno doing something related to football probably leaving me to chill on my own.

I wrapped a gold coil with an ancient Egyptian woman's head dangling from the piece.

I slid it in a front lock seeing as though I thought it was the prettiest of all the beads & gold coils I bought.

Finishing I stared at my reflection in awe. Choosing this hairstyle was really a nice choice, I looked so much different.

But in a good mature way.

It made me feel like I'd prosper into something amazing these next couple months.

And I'm so into growing and changing into a better person. Maybe why butterflies used to be my favorite critters.

But elephants just so happened to catch my attention from their symbolism across the world.

I absolutely adored them.

Letting my thoughts linger i went to my closet casually glancing through it.

Consisting mainly of baggy 90s clothes from the thrift store I went over to my bed and sat down.

I turned my music down dialing Mercedes number.

She picked up on the second ring softly speaking on the other side.

"Hello, hello, hello. What's up beautiful." She spoke kindly as I smiled.

"Hey cece, I was wondering if you wanted to take me shopping. Of course that's if your not busy." I wrapped my finger around a loc watching it drop down to my shoulder.

"UH Finally, I've been asking you forever to let me do something with that new wardrobe of yours. It's cute but no one can really see your pretty slim body under them."

"I know." I agreed sighing.

"What sprouted this new change." I heard her starting up the car as the ignition sounded.

"Just my new hairstyle-

"Oooo, I can't wait to see it, hurry up and dress I'll be over in like 10."

"Okay, see you." I hung up the phone and tried to pick something from my wardrobe that looked at least a little girly.

I chose a black leather belt, baggy camouflage army pants, a green crop top, and black windbreaker that I guess I never returned to Juno.

Going over to the mirror preparing to shower I decided I didn't want to wet my locs just yet.

Wincing in pain while pulling all of my locs up successfully I groaned while letting my arms flail back down.

These were definitely heavy, and the braids on the inside of the wrapped Marley hair didn't make it any lighter.

I quickly showered and rubbed lotion on myself before putting my outfit on.
