When Luna got home later that day, her dad could've sworn it was like nothing had happened. Luna had even forgotten reality for a couple hours, but when she got home it slapped her in the face. She felt the need to gush to her mom all about Daniel, but when she walked in and saw that nobody was making dinner at the usual time, she didn't know what to do with herself.

It was like Daniel had powers and was able to pull Luna from the depths of her reality and take her into a fantasy life. One that she had dreamed of since the day her mom died. Luna didn't have a thought in her mind about her mom, aching sadness, even the days and weeks that had gone by with no sleep. She almost wanted to go back there just to be able to get a good nights rest, but that wasn't really an option considering she had school the next morning.

That was another thing she was dreading. School. She was fine with going to school, but she didn't want to face the kids who made her feel so horrible ever again. But she was tough, and she knew she could pull through. But with benchmarks coming up to close off the first semester, it out a lot of stress on the poor girl. First it's taking forever to adjust to her new life without her mom, then there's the kids at school, and now to top off the cake, studying and passing her classes to be able to graduate this year. But there was a light guiding her. A bright light that shown through the tunnels of stress and sadness. A light almost as bright as the sun. Daniel.

She kept on thinking back to how much she wanted to make Daniel proud. For him to be able to stand there at her graduation. She didn't even realize how attached she was becoming to the boy. I mean, they've been friends for 2 weeks and she's already thinking this far into the future. She's got something going for her.

"What friends house did you stay at?" Her dad asked her. They we're sitting in an old diner that they had always gone to. One thing Luna didn't know, is that she had this look on her face that her dad could read. It was a look that said, I may be falling in love. And he couldn't be happier. When she didn't talk for a while, her dad spoke to her. "So when do I get to meet him?" He chuckled down at his only girl left. "H-how did you k-know?" She was honestly baffled that he knew, and wasn't even mad. "I can see it on your face. Whenever you think about someone or something you love your ears and face gets red and your mouth opens." Her dad could read her like a book. "So what's his name?" He asked again. "Daniel. He's 18, in a band, beautiful brown hair that goes perfectly with his blue eyes. Amazing personality. Ama- I'm rambling." She quickly stopped herself before saying too much. Her dad laughed and shook his head.

His princess was being in the process of being put back together. Now to meet the prince behind it all.
