The pair didn't see each other, or even talk for that matter, for the rest of the week. It's not like they didn't want to talk to each other. It's simply because Luna had benchmarks to do, and Daniel, along with the other boys had interviews and songwriting to do. But when they all had a free day on Saturday, you already know they would spend the whole day all together.
Friday morning rolled around though, and Daniel had an 2 hours in the morning to himself. He spent an hour of those with Luna. He watched her get ready to go to school, and even drove her to school. It was kind of funny to watch some of the girls in the front of the school fan girl when they saw The Daniel Seavey press a kiss to the loser of the schools cheek. That whole day girls were trying to be her best friend again but she knew it was only so they could get closer to the boys so she ignored them.
The end of the day came quick and Luna was finishing up the last three pages of her benchmark. She knew she would have to stay after school to finish it. So not even thinking about Daniel and how much he would worry when she didn't come out, she stayed until she finished.
And Daniel did worry so he got out of Luna's car, asked a couple people about where she would be and where to go, and found her. When he saw her sitting at her desk in the empty classroom, furrowing her eyebrows in almost confusion, he couldn't help but to think how damn adorable she looked. Her hair in a messy bun with her glasses slowly slipping down her nose. He smiled to himself and then walke over to the girl. "Need help there?" When Luna heard his voice, she visibly relaxed. "Hi Dani." She didn't even look up, she kept focused on her paper. Daniel walked behind her stool she was sitting on and placed his hands on her shoulders. "Relax, baby." He sorrows into her ear and rubbed her shoulders. Luna sighed and dropped her pencil leaning back onto Daniels frontside. Daniel put his face in her neck and placed light kisses there up to her ear. Even if they hadn't already actually kissed, Luna still found his lips and touch to calm he down.
"What are you working on?" Daniel pulled a stool that was sitting next to her up behind her so he could rest himself on the girl. "Math," she sighed out and looked at the boy who had his head leaning on her shoulder blades. "I feel so stupid. I can't remember doing any of this." She was close to crying and Daniel wasn't ready to have her cry. "Come here." Daniel turned her around and opened his arms which she gladly fell into. "I'm just so stressed. I'm so ready to get out of this hell hole." Dani chuckled at her words. But when he felt his shirt get wet his laughing ceased. "Hey hey hey. Don't cry, baby. I'm right here," he rubbed his thumb up and down on her arms trying to calm her down. She sat up, and decided to just turn it in how it is, deciding the stress wasn't worth it. She walked out of his arms and gave the packet to the teacher who had been watching in awe at the couple. The teacher gave a soft smile and accepted the paper.
When Daniel and Luna walked outside of the doors hand in hand, they realized they were the only people left at the school. Daniel opened the passenger side door for his girl and then walked over to the drivers side once she was inside. They sat ther for a second just looking at each other. "I don't want to go home yet. Do you have time to go to the park?" Luna sadly spoke to him. In return she got a smile and a kiss on the forehead. He pulled out of the school and drove over to the park. "I don't want to go outside. We can sit in the backseat if that's okay with you?" Luna softly spoke again. Daniel nodded and then walked to the back seat. He leaned against the door while he waited for Luna to get the blanket out of the trunk. "Come here," Daniel made grabby hands because he wanted to cuddle with the sad girl. She laid her stomach on his and put her face in his neck. Daniel grabbed to blanket and threw it over them. They sat there for a good 30 minutes before anyone spoke up. "I love you."
When the words slipped out of Daniels lips Luna immediately sat up to make eye contact with Daniel. "What?" Daniel had thought he ruined everything. But after 30 minutes of thinking, Daniel came to a conclusion hat he truly did love this girl laying in his arms. "I love you. I love you so much. And I know it might be a little soon to think that but, Luna I don't want to ever go a day without you. I don't want to go a day ever questioning if you're mine or not. I love you." At his point, both the 18 year old and 17 year old were tearing up. Luna didn't know how to react so she did the first thing she thought of. She pulled on both sides of his jaw and pulled him into a kiss. Their first kiss. Daniel placed his hands on hers while they kissed. Their lips moved together perfectly, in a slow passionate kiss. When they pulled away, they were still centimeters apart so Daniel saw this opportunity and placed a couple more short and sweet kisses to her lips. "I love you too." Is all she said. Their lips pulled into a smile and Daniel asked the question everyone had been waiting for for the past month. "Will you be my girlfriend?" As soon as the words tumbled out of his mouth she nodded and pulled him into another kiss.
Luna finally felt content in her life knowing that she had something to call hers. And that something was a someone who brought the old Sunshine-y Luna back. But you'll see that come into play soon.
