The six friends all decided to take a small road trip. Since the boys had a couple weeks off and Luna needed a couple weeks off school and her actual life, they decided to set off. Of course Luna still needed grades so for the 3-4 weeks they were gone she had her teachers sending her work.

"Baby, you work too much." Daniel pouted and leaned on the girls shoulder to look at her work. "Yeah, well I want to graduate." She laughed and placed a small kiss on his temple. "Damn can you guys stop being cute? It's sickening." Jonah groaned from the drivers seat. "Oh by the way, Luna, it's your turn to drive." He piped up. "Finally she'll do something other than working!" Daniel cheered out into the black van. The small girl rolled her eyes and then Jonah stepped out of the car after he parked. They filled the van up with gas and then Luna and Daniel climbed into the front seats. "Hey, Luna, can I show you this new song?" Daniel spoke to his girl. She hummed and handed him the aux cord. Daniel plugged it in. Music pumped through the speakers and a couple seconds in, you could hear a voice begin to sing. A voice very familiar to Luna.

"What song is that?" Luna asked once the song was over. "Taking you." Jonah spoke up. "Whose it by?" Again she questioned, having a feeling she knew what was coming next. "Why Don't We." Daniel whispered into her ear and then placed a kiss on her ear. "No way." She had a look of shock written on her face. All the boys smiled and nodded at her. "Baby!" She yelled and glanced at Daniel. He sent her a bright smile and then grabbed the hand that wasn't steering. "Is it out yet?" She asked again. "Not until October 6." Zach answered her. "I feel like a proud mother. Im gonna cry." She really did feel her eyes tearing up. "Please don't cry, baby." Daniel squeezed her hand tighter. "It's a good cry. I'm proud." She smiled for the millionth time and looked in the rear view mirror at her four best friends and then looked at her boyfriend. They smiled at each other and then Daniel leaned over and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Later that night, the six teens sat at an old diner picking out what they wanted. They were driving back to LA and we're getting quite hungry. After this small town they were going to come upon a town very dear to Luna Marie. "Hey guys, do you think that in the next town we can stop somewhere?" She asked and placed the menu down on the table. "Yeah. What's in the next town?" Zach asked also placing the menu down. "My mom." As she said hose words Daniel placed his hand on her thigh and rubbed circles on the clothing covering her skin. "Are you sure?" Jack asked from across the table. "I haven't visited since we married her, and I have something I want to do." She smiled and placed her hand on top of Daniels.

When they got to the town at six in the morning, they drove to the only cemetery there and woke Luna to tell her they arrived. She grabbed a blanket and Daniels hand and pulled him out of the van. She went right over to the grave and sat down. Daniel sat beside her and watched as small tears ran down her cheeks. "Hi momma." She laughed through the tears. "I have someone I want you to meet," she paused for a second and Daniel knew what was coming next. "His is Daniel. He's really, really important to me." Daniel smiled and pulled the small girl towards him. The couple sat there for a couple minutes. And when Daniel looked down to see she was asleep on his shoulder, he knew in that moment that this was his girl and he loved her so much.

He was never letting her go.
