Clara and Amy were hastily pushed into the small little library corner as Bill quickly closed the large mahogany doors behind her.
"No need to get all pushy." Amy said as she turned to look at Bill who locked the door.
"I'm sorry, my foster mother can get a little... suspicious of my whereabouts." Bill said and she untied the ribbon that was around her neck.
"Ms Potts, we were wondering if you could tell us what you know about Gereth Suns," Clara remained focused on the mission at hand, "and perhaps why your family has decided to invest in them?"
"Yeah sorry but, you see, I don't really know how or why my mother decides to put her money into something," Bill said as she went over to one of the bookshelves, "she doesn't trust me enough to have that information."
"Well surely you will inherit your family's wealth sometime, won't your mother want you to know her speciality?" Clara asked.
"Yeah, I mean, shouldn't she want to let you know on how to do that?" Amy asked.
"The last thing she wants is me getting her wealth, I'm just her foster child, she plans on giving her inheritance to whatever man she finally decides to pick up," Bill told them and then brought over a large book with a blank hardback cover, "I just hope she picks someone that's fine with me staying here."
"You're Lady Potts' only family?" Clara asked.
"Yep... she used to have a big family, with cousins and siblings to spare... but they all disappeared... she never tells me anything about it... no matter how hard I pry—wait a minute, hang on, why am I telling you all this?" Bill looks up at Clara with a confused expression.
"Just have one of those faces–now! Your mother is the one who is invested, but you're the one that hired the agency. Why would you do that? By what I hear Gereth Suns is about to get a huge some of money, and you want to hire agents to retrieve information from it?"
Bill looked at the book for a moment, "I saw something I wish I hadn't..."
By that moment, Amy was intrigued, "what kind of something?"
"A bad something... something you never want to see," Bill to them, "you know when you're a kid and your parents tell you not to go somewhere probably because it's dangerous, but you don't listen and go on anyway out of curiosity, or boredom, or whatever... and then you completely regret it?"
Amy nods and then glances at Clara who wanted to ask more questions but held off in case of important information.
Bill continued, "that's what it's like..."
"So you decided to find out more." Clara was putting the pieces together.
"I don't want to sabotage my family, but it's what's right," Bill said, "they can't blame me for that, right?"
"Well only you would know." Clara told her.
"So what's this book for?" Amy asked, she sort of blanked out at the end of that conversation.
"The book? It's not a book at all," Bill opens it up to reveal the data file Amy retrieved just about 36 hours ago, "it's a hiding place."
Bill picked it up and looked at it, "I wanted to know more about what was happening at Gereth Suns. I saw... something. You won't believe me, I know that, but I just needed to know."
