It was the next day, at the breakfast table before my first day back at school and my eyes bore into Joey's as I chewed my eggs way longer than necessary--contemplating.

My mom and Jared and Jacob were still asleep--ridden by the burden that was school years ago. Joey so kindly offered to wake up early with me last night before we went to sleep but what he didn't know was that I would've woken him up anyway, possibly shouting at him or wacking him with my pillow.

"Are you nervous?" Joey asked, running his fingers through his adorable bed-head. I simply shook my head, shoveling another mouthful of bland eggs down my throat. I will never allow Joey to cook eggs for me again--Too healthy.

"Then what are you thinking about?" He questioned, pushing his eggs around his plate as if unable to take on the task of consuming them. I never gave how Joey felt about me returning to school a second gander but now it was all I could think about. But no way was I telling him that--Instead I chose to refer to how he "teased" me last night after we returned from our tour of the city.

"Ways to pay you back...Also, ways to get my family out of the house for a week." I said, my tone cocky, my crooked smile sly.

Joey's face heated up with a deep pink before he rushed to speak to try and distract me from his prominent blush, "Why a week?" My smirk grew as I shrugged meekly and elaborated, "It'll take me a week to get you back for arousing me with my mom in the next room over," I said, not giving him time to blush before I added, "Maybe I'll just explain to them that we'll be fucking senselessly seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day, Loan them all my seasons to How I Met Your Mother, and tell them that if they hear screams, the volume's not loud enough. Oh, Time for school! Drive me?" I asked, trying my hardest to hide my smirk, keeping my expression innocent.

"I, uh, I...um, Sure." Joey stammered, unable to hide his profusely red blush that was spreading down his cheeks and blooming across his neck. I have to admit: It was incredibly adorable and I would tease Joey all the time if it meant witnessing his blush, but the payback thing was not teasing: Somehow, someway, He was getting it tonight.

"Turn left here." I supplied as Joey slowed the car rapidly, and I glanced at the early sun shining through the front windshield, displaying a glorious morning that would lead into a glorious day which I'd have to spend in hell. "Why didn't you just drive?" Joey snapped, getting a bit irritated at my sarcastic directions to my school. "Because you're forcing me to enter the hellhole where everyone knows my secrets! The least you can do is make it to where I'm not lying when people ask me if  you drove me to school like a hovering mom."

Joey scoffed, and I'd bet anything he was rolling his eyes. "You asked me to drive." He grumbled. "Yeah, I'm also asking you to pick me up. But let me drive on the way home." I said, flipping my bangs out of my eyes. "Whatever you say."

After another minute or two of driving, my thoughts were pulled from the beautiful morning to how Joey felt about this whole situation. I'm sure he was as thrilled as I was that I was going back. I'm sure he was practically biting his fingernails because he was so nervous and scared for me, judging by how nervous and scared I was for me.

I was distracted from my thoughts by a huge FedEx truck passing us by. "Do you know where the arrow is in the FedEx logo?" I asked Joey, looking ahead to see another FedEx truck in the distance, heading our way. What was the deal? Did someone in Long Beach order China? "No...where?" He asked, glancing my way. "Between the E and X. Here comes another truck, Look for it." I said, my eyes searching the FedEx truck as it passed. "I don't see it...Where is it?" Joey said, squinting as it passed.
