Trecking back from school, I peer at the notebook of ideas Miss Shaile had given to me.

Naturally, I had filled her in with my current encounters, especially in depth with the times I met Erin.

Surprisingly, she believed me.

I turn the first page:

Research spells of protection, bring them in tomorrow. I'll help sort some of the items you need.

Miss Shaile.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Miss!

Still, she made some good points.

Arriving home, I immediately make a run for the computer.

"Where do you think you're going?" Shouts a voice from the kitchen.

Bother, I forgot about what I did to my foster mum.

"To my room," I shout.

"In your dreams!"

Sighing, I give up, stand, and wait for fury to greet me.

"I have something for you," she says calmly.

She then passes me a green, wood box. An eye is carved into it, seeming to stare straight through me.

"Thanks, I guess."

I storm straight up to my room, without looking at her. I'm certainly not going to lower myself to talk to her; let alone ask her why she bought it me!

My computer is placed on my lap as soon as I enter my room, and after a long, boring start screen, I start furiously searching through websites.

I click on the first link on Google.

Being the stubborn person I am, I refuse to head downstairs.

I snuggle into my bed feeling a sense a security flood over me like a wave crashing on a shore. Only slight fear remains, yet I feel at peace. Of course, I knew it couldn't last long.

One can dream I guess, even if every dream happens to be a nightmare.
