Forcing my eyes upon whilst groaning, I rub my head whilst wincing in pain. Rolling out, I fall with a thump on the ground, vision becoming blurred.
Looks like it's a day off for me.
Forcing myself up, I crawl onto my bed like a spider climbs a web. Except, with extreme difficulty. Slamming my head on the soft cushioning of my pillow; I start to dose off...
"Wake up you stupid child!"
Not again. Not her.
Anything but her.
"Kacey! Get your lazy ass out of bed this instant!"
Great.
I try to block her shrieking voice - yet it doesn't work.
"I'm ill ; let me sleep."
And 3...2...1
"You're not ill," she screams, "you're perfectly well!"
"I'm sick and staying at home." I snap, glaring at her.
"Fine. I'm going."
"Bye!"
She marches out, especially making an effort to swing the door closed.
The whole house shakes as I throw myself deeper into my sleepy state...
"Hello Kacey, I hope you didn't forget me."
Peering around, I seem to find myself in a never-ending room of pure white.
"You see darling Kacey, when you did your little spell you found me," the voice explains, "I've always been there, but you could never actually notice me, nor talk."
What's going on?
"Yet now I have you in my grasp; you're all mine."
I haven't done this have I?
"Forever."
My scream ripples through the place.
Awakening in a pool of sweat I flip over to face a pair of empty eyes staring directly at me.
Clawing at the sheets like a murdering savage, I frantically attempt to awaken myself.
Still afraid I turn - the whole room cold and eerie...
