Oh god...
"He won't help you."
My eyes dart around at the speed of bullets, before they lock on the predator.
"Your mother is here to heal your wounds."
"What do you want?"
"To save you Kacey," she whispers, "to save you from Erin."
"Erin is saving me from you!"
"That's what you think," she whispers, "but that couldn't be further from the truth."
"Well how can you prove that then?"
"How can you prove it?"
"I asked first," I whisper sharply, "and I want an answer."
"Your stone is obviously doing an excellent job at keeping me away."
Oh gosh - she's right.
"Of course I'm bloomin' right."
"Leave me alone!" I shout.
"Kacey are you alright?"
"Leave me alone you weird demon!"
"Kacey," says a calming voice, "it's Miss Shaile."
I look up, only to see a pair of concerned eyes looking straight at me.
"We can hear you from class."
"Well now I feel so much better," I snap.
Miss Shaile glares at me.
"I'll speak to you after I finish the lesson," she says calmly.
Watching her drift out of the office door makes me sigh.
Will I ever be able to keep my temper in tact?
Probably not.
I could try I guess, but then I wouldn't be me. I'd just be some false person with perfect manners.
I'm fine as I am.
But how did that demon get through to me with the stone. Erin promised me it would work!
Maybe she is evil...
I actually thought I'd gained a friend; even if it was a ghost.
The only way I can change this mess is to go back as I was.
Sure they may still watch me, but I won't know about it. I can return to being normal Kacey. Arguing with my foster mum, being a loner, and accepting life for what it is.
I must find the way to close my third eye.
