"Good luck on your first day of classes laur! You'll do great!" Lexi said to Lauren as she was dropping Lauren off at Ryerson's campus.
"Thanks Lex, I'll text you when I'm back to my apartment." Lauren said as she got out of Lexi's Jeep.
"Alright, see you later!" Lexi said as Lauren shut the door of the vehicle. Lauren waved goodbye and began the trek across campus to her first class.
Lauren walked into the large building that her first class was in and immediately found the room. She found a seat in the middle of the fairly small room and sat down.
Right as she was grabbing a notebook and a pen out of her bag someone sat down beside her. "Was this seat taken?" Lauren looked up and saw a girl that looked her age.
"Nope." Lauren said with a smile.
"I'm Grace."
"Lauren, it's nice to meet you."
"Are you by any chance in the Concurrent Ed program for teaching?"
"I am actually!"
"No way! Guess we lucked out!"
"Yeah, I guess we did!" Lauren said just as the professor started talking.
After the lecture was over, Lauren packed up her things into her bag when Grace said, "Do you have a class next?"
"Nope, not another one till 6!"
"Is it English?"
"Yes ma'am, are we together again?"
"Yes we are!"
"Perfect! Do you wanna grab some lunch?"
"Sure!" Grace said as the new friends began to walk out of the lecture hall.
