Looking for You

I sat nervously at the end of my bed, trying to talk myself into going to lunch, but honestly, I can't think straight. My thoughts are driving me crazy, I have a decision to make. I jumped a bit when I heard someone knock on me door. "Um, come in," I hesitantly whispered loud enough for whoever it was to hear. To my surprise it was George. I looked at the ground, "I.. Uh.. don't you still have class," I asked. He sighed, "yeah, I did. But I made up a stupid excuse, so I could come find you."

I closed my eyes, "me? Are you sure I'm the person you want to be talking to?" He groaned, "stop being so stubborn and look at me. Look at me! After everything we have been through, at least look at me when you tell me," he started to yell. I finally looked at him, confused, "tell you what?" He faked a laugh, "the reason you've been avoiding me, the reason you can't look at me. Just say it out loud. I already know what your answer is. Just get it over with, tell me why you chose him instead of me, Because I love you, damn it," he yelled as he wiped his tears away.

I sat there for a moment not reacting, until I just blurted out laughing. I looked up to see George looking more hurt. I walked forward and grabbed his hand, "I can't tell you that. Because I want you." He looked at me seriously, like he was looking for any sign that this was a lie. I smiled a bit, "I'm sorry, you thought I was going to leave you, but I'm not. I only got upset with you because you made fun of him mental health. You know I have had problems with my mental health as well, it bothered me. But I still want you, you've never done anything to not deserve to be the one I want," I whispered, kissing his cheek.

I could tell it was taking him a minute to process my words. But all of a sudden, he walked over to my bed, sat on it and smiled, "prove it." I swallowed, "what?" He chuckled, "you heard me, prove it. Your own words, no?" I blushed as I decided what I was going to do.
