Ch 6~ Date Night
———————————————————————-
Saturday arrives a little too early, not that it's a bad thing. It's a good thing. But I've been so nervous for the past few days, it feels like the Big Bang is taking place in my stomach. My stomach flips every time I see or hear Noahand when he talks to me I can't help but drool all over him, in my head of course , and I can't help but smile whenever he's around.
Okay that is a little too cheesy.
But I'm all the more nervous since I have so little experience in the field of the dating and stuff. The last time I had gone on a date was in the middle of the sophomore year. It hadn't lasted long though, thanks to my wretched feelings for Aaron.
I swear that boy has messed me up.
And now the one other problem, I'm sure every girl faces on her first date with a guy, deciding what to wear. So Nat came over to help me decide. After trying on clothes for more than an hour endlessly we decide on my wearing a slightly ripped jeans and a white sleeveless top with a pair of golden flats.
With half an hour left, Nat hurriedly does my hair, leaving them open with slight curls. I slip my cell into my jeans' pocket after checking the time and slide my wallet into the other pocket. With five minutes left for Noah to arrive we make our way down the stairs.
Mom is sitting on the patio behind our house so we take two seats beside her. She looks at me with a bright smile. "All set?"
"I think so." I fiddle with the hem of my shirt.
"Oh she's all set." Nat adds.
"I can definitely trust Nat to get you dressed for any occasion ." my mom completely adores Natalie. Not only because she's been there for me through out but also because Natalie is a very sweet person.
"And I support that." I add remembering the numerous number of times that she has helped me dress presentably for various occasions because that is just not my field of expertise.
"Awwww..... You love me." She gives me a hug and then quickly releases me."Don't wanna mess up your hair."
"Right."
We sit there talking to my mom about school and things.
After a few minutes wait the door bell rings and suddenly it feels like my heart might be going at a speed of a hundred thousand miles an hour.
I can't move for a moment and then Nat pulls me up from the chair."Get up. He's waiting." I regain my senses after my mom starts laughing."You're not getting married to him. You're going on a date." But hearing this only makes me more nervous.
"Hey!" My mom gets up."Chill. And to make it easier for you both I won't meet him just yet. Take your time. And have fun tonight." She says keeping a hand on my shoulder.
And then the door bell rings for a second time.
I try to smile but I can't get myself to move."Hey Jess. Come on . Please just breathe okay." Nat says.
I take in a deep and hold it tight for a second and then exhale." Okay. I can do this. See you guys later."
I make my way to the front door and open it. And there he is. Dressed in a button down blue shirt and black jeans. His hands in his pockets.
"Hi." I greet him settling my shirt.
He gives me this brilliant, hundred watt smile, which makes half of my nervousness go away."Hi." he says."You ready?" he asks me.
I smile and nod. I step outside and close the door behind me. We walk to his car and then he opens the door of his car for me to get inside. Like a complete gentleman."Thanks." I murmur and he smiles. He runs to the other side of the car and gets in while I buckle myself in and then he does the same.
Once he starts driving back I ask him. "Where are we going by the way?"
"I'm not really good at setting up dates so bare with me." he says and I wonder how this date is going to go.
