Chapter 8: Love at First Sight

(Ok time for another flashback! This is going to be taking place before the first flashback and is going to focus on how Rythian and Zoey fell in love! I hope you enjoy! Also for anyone who hasn't seen some episodes of Yoglabs, the wave machine is actually called the wave makr. I know how to spell maker guys! :D)

*Flashback*

Rythian's POV:

I walked down the white corridor and smiled. I had been working at Yoglabs for about a year now and I loved it. I went about my day doing experiments, writing down findings and setting up equipment for other scientists. Today though I was given the task to fix the wave makr. This is going to be a difficult task. A pig had managed to make its way into the facility and had wandered into the room with the wake makr. It jumped in the pool and swam straight into the wave makr. This resulted in a reddish pool and a broken wave makr.

I began work on the pool by jumping into the clear water. It was warm and my muscles felt instantly relaxed. I swam over to the far end of the pool and peered into the wave machine. It looked like there was something blocking the movement of the machine itself. I went over to the side of the pool, got out and opened the bag of equipment I had brought with me. I searched through the various bits and pieces until I found what I needed. I jumped back in the pool, the metal grabber I picked up in hand. I shoved it into the wave machine and moved it around a bit. I was treading water, searching for the blockage. The metal arm hit an object and I positioned it right and clamped down onto it. I pulled at it and it wouldn't budge! I pulled at the obstruction with all my strength and it was un-lodged! I swam back to the side and placed the metal arm and pig bone I had retrieved down. I was about to get out but I heard a screeching noise. I looked behind me and saw the machines fan spinning out of control. It was sucking in and the strong current started pulling me towards the spinning fan. I was plunged into the water and I began spinning around. I was drawing closer to the spinning fan. I was quickly drifting towards my death.

A hand clasped around my arm and pulled me out of the pool. I was on my knees, spluttering, my eyes sore. I looked up rubbing my stinging eyes, still spluttering. I was greeted by the most beautiful person I had ever seen. I had seen her a few times before working around Yoglabs but I never had the courage to talk her. "Thank you." I say coughing.

"No problem. Happy to help!" The girl says.

"What's your name?"

"It's Zoey. And you are?"

"Rythian. Once again thank you."

I stand up and look into her bright orange eyes. They're so pretty. She is so pretty. We stand there in an awkward silence looking into each others eyes. "Well anyway..." I say "I guess I'll see you around.

"Yeah. I guess so. Bye."

She turns around and begins to walk to the exit. 'Come on Rythian. You can do it.' I say to myself "Wait!" I exclaim. She quickly spins around and with a happy tune in her voice says "Yeah!"

"Errm... err. Do you want to get something to eat in the break room?"

"Sure!" She chirps "Lets go!" I run up to and we walk next to each other out of the room and down into the white corridor.

We sat at the table talking about various different things. Work, personal lives and lots of random things like books. I finished off my glass of water and listened to her stories. I watched her lips move and thought about how beautiful she was. We were sitting there talking for ages and I looked down at my watch. 11:00 pm! My god it's late. I finished off listening to what she was saying and said "It's getting late. I should probably get home."

"Yeah me too." We both stood up and walked out of the break room towards the exit of the large complex of Yoglabs. We both checked out at the reception desk and left through the large vault door. We walked onto the wooden bridge and Zoey stopped looking up at the sky. I looked up as well. "It's so romantic." She said

"It is beautiful." I say "Nearly as beautiful as you."

Crap! Oh crap oh crap oh crap! I wasn't meaning to say that. Oh no! "What?" She says looking at me "You think I'm beautiful?"

I blush and turn my head away trying to hide my bright red cheeks. I sigh "Yes."

"No ones ever said that to me before." She looks down shyly. "I actually thought you were pretty cute. I just didn't want to say. I was too nervous and shy."

I look at her face. It's bathed and shimmering in moonlight. The stars are looking down on us like millions of little eyes. I walk up to her and take her hands in mine. I look up peering into her eyes. We stand there for a few seconds just staring into each other's eyes. I close my eyes and and we both move closer together. My heart is beating faster and faster. My lips touch hers. Her lips are soft and my body feels warm. I feel like a missing part of me has finally been replaced. We stand there in a warm embrace the moon shining down on us. We pull apart and we looked into each other's eyes once again. "I'll see you later." Zoey says and walks off the bridge and into the dark, black night. I sit down on the bridge and peer up into the night sky.

(I am so sorry this chapter took so long!!! I found it a bit difficult to keep it interesting. But I've done it as Sips would say "I did it Mom! Look at me I did it!"
