(Hello guys! I am so so so sorry for this massive gap! I hit a major bit of writers block and I was really struggling. I was caught up in school work and that put it on hiatus even longer. At some points I was thinking of dropping the story all together but I decided to carry on. Anyway I won't keep you waiting! Here's the next chapter!)

Lewis' POV:

We had been walking all day. The golden glow of the setting sun illuminated the strange world. We managed to reach the foot of the mountain and as the others drank the water from the flowing stream, I wandered to a small hill looking over at the large field. I watched as the sun sank behind the horizon and sighed. I pulled the small burgundy box out of my pocket and fiddled with it, staring at it feeling both scared and excited. I flicked open the lid, smiled and closed it again, still looking at it. I heard footsteps coming towards me and I fumbled with the box. It nearly slipped out my hand but I managed to slip it back into my pocket just in time. Simon sat down next to me."How you doing?" He asks me. I look at him trying my best not to look suspicious in any way. "Hmm? Oh, I'm fine. Just trying to do my best at relaxing and, you know, forgetting that I'm not home..." I reply.

"I know what you mean. I really just want to be warm next to a nice hearth with a pitcher of mead!" He replies chuckling.

"I could tell that! I've known you for too long!" I smile.

He stops talking and I look at him. He is looking at my pants. Shock hits me. Oh no. "What's that?" He asks puzzled, pointing at my pocket. I look down and realise the corner of the box is peering over the top of my pocket. He reaches down towards the box. I slap his hand. "Not for you!" I tell him.

"Ooh. Is it something important!?" He says in a funny tone.

"Yes it is and it is also NOT FOR YOU!"

"Fine..." he says lowering his head. I turn back round and after a few seconds Simon quickly pulls the box out of my pocket. He gasps. "Give it here!" I say angrily through gritted teeth.

"Is this what I think it is?" He asks his eyes wide.

"I said give it here!" I say as he opens the box.

"Oh my god it is!" He stares at the object in the box. The gold band shimmers in the setting sun and the diamond glimmers. "You're thinking of proposing? " He says excitedly while whispering.

"No! I just carry round a ring with me all day! What do you fucking think!?" I say taking the box back off him and closing the lid.

"Alright! Calm down!"

"Right listen here! If you tell ANYONE , especially HANNAH, you're dead!" I say with my teeth gritted in a low voice.

I hide the box in my pocket making sure it isn't sticking out. I won't be making that mistake again! I hear more footsteps behind me. I turn around and see Hannah walking up to us. I quickly glare at Simon and he stands up and walks away back to the stream. "What were you two talking about?" She asks.

Hannah's POV:

I took a seat next to Duncan. Lewis walked up to a small hill. I should probably leave him alone. Let him have some peace. Simon paced in front of me, I could tell he was worried. Scared for our safety. Scared for Lewis' safety most of all. They were best friends, they always looked after each other and at this moment in time, they needed to be there for each other. I will always care about Lewis, and will always love him and look after him but sometimes he feels it's easier to talk to Simon. I stood and knelt down next to the small stream. I cupped my hands and scooped up some water. I lifted the water carefully towards my mouth and sipped the cool refreshing liquid. Duncan joined me at the small stream and drank the clear fluid. Duncan splashed water on his face, washing it. I got to my feet steadily and walked back over to where I was sitting. Simon wasn't there. I began to panic. He was right here! I looked around frantically. "Simon!?" I started to shake. "Simon!?" I looked to where Lewis was and there was Simon sitting next to Lewis. I calmed down, my heart returned to it's normal speed and my breathing went back to a nice, comfortable pace. Duncan finished drinking and sat next to me. "Do you think I'll ever find someone to love me?" He asked me. I was taken aback by this sudden question. "Can anyone love a mad scientist? It's not like someome is just going fall from the sky and land in my courtyard fountain and fall in love with me!" He lets out a small, sad chuckle.

"I-I-I..." I stutter because i really don't kmow what to say.

"Forget I asked I know I'm unlovable..." He looks down avoiding my gaze.

"Duncan, I didn't say that I've just been caught a little off-guard. I'm sure you will find someone." I move towards him and hug him. "I know you will."

He looked up and smiled at me. "Thank you Hannah."

I hear raised voices. I look to Simon and Lewis. "I should go see if he's okay." I say while getting up. I swiftly walk towards the two. Lewis turns to me for a second and turns back round, Simon stands and walks past me and back towards the stream."What were you two talking about?" I ask curiosly. He looks at me as if he's not sure on what to say to me. "I-It's nothing" he says nervously. He's holding something back from me. I can sense it. "Why were you shouting at Simon?" I ask. I need to find out what he's hiding.

"I was just venting a bit. I'm a bit of a wreck at the minute."

"Okay. Why are you venting?"

"Because we're stuck in this place."

"I know that, but you seem nervous as well..."

He gulps. "W-well urr I mean I'm n-nervous because I don't k-know what is going to happen n-next."

I narrow my eyes. "You're hiding something from me."

"I-I am not!"

"Why are you stuttering then?"

"I-I'm not!"

"Yes. You are"

He sighs. "O-okay I am hiding something..."

"What are you hiding?" I raise my voice slightly. 'Is this good or bad?' I think to myself. 'Is he cheating on me?'

"I can't tell you."

"Tell me now!" Anger is in my voice and a glare at him.

"Hannah please don't make me. Not yet!"

"LEWIS TELL ME NOW! ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME OR SOMETHING!?" Tears are building in my eyes now.

He looks at me. He closes his eyes. He takes a deep breath. He goes onto one knee. "W-what are you doing? My heart quickens again, along with my breathing. "Hannah 'Lomadia' Rutherford. Will you marry me?" He says looking into my eyes. I open my mouth to answer...

(There we go! Once again I am so sorry for the wait. Hopefully I will be writing more often and should be able to carry on with the story. I will inform you guys if I decide to drop it. Until next time though: Matty Out! :D)
