Godzilla VS Tahu (Wattys 2017)

Prologue

Okoto had been peaceful after Kulta's defeat. The Toa now lived in their respective regions, and acted as heroes to the villagers they protected. They hadn't seen each other all together for a while. But out of nowhere, they all got a message from Ekimu. It appeared urgent, so they hurried to the City of the Mask Makers as soon as they could. They all met up outside Ekimu's castle, where he greeted them.
"We came as soon as we got your message." Tahu said. "What's going on?"
"I have located my brothers Mask of Control." Ekimu said. The Toa were surprised by this. They had been searching for the Mask of Control for months now, and couldn't find it. They were beginning to lose hope, until now. Kopaka stepped foreword.
"Wherever it is, we will find it." He said. "So, where on the island is it located?"
"That's the problem." Ekimu began. "It's not on the island at all. I located it using the Mask of Time."
"You mean... it's not in our timeline?" Gali asked.
"Precisely. I located it many years in the future." Ekimu said. "I saw a team of archeologists uncover it from the ground. I assume Makuta sent the mask into the future to protect it from us."
Pohatu crossed his arms. "So how're we going to get to the future?"
Ekimu pulled the Mask of Time out from behind him, using it to replace his own Mask of Creation. It glowed briefly as he set it on his face.
"The Mask of Time possesses the ability to send people into the past or future." He said. "I will send you to the Mask of Control's location, you will retrieve it, and I will bring you back."
The Toa looked at each other. While they were unfamiliar with the process of time travel, they knew they had a duty to Okoto and its people. They nodded and turned back to Ekimu.
"Alright." Tahu said. Ekimu nodded and placed a hand on the side of the Mask of Time. It glowed, and shot a ray from its eyes towards Lewa first. Lewa glowed blue for a brief moment before disappearing into the future. Ekimu did the same to Kopaka, Onua, Pohatu, and Gali, until he got to Tahu. He paused for a brief moment.
"Wait, Tahu. I'm getting another vision." He said. Tahu stepped foreword, anticipating Ekimu's prediction.
"The Mask of Control will fall into the hands of a being of great power known as a Kaiju." He said. "You must get to the mask before this happens."
Tahu nodded. "We won't fail you." He said. Ekimu nodded back before sending him into the future.
