Tahu tapped his foot on the ground as he had his arms crossed and sat on his bed. The Toa had rented a room at a building called a "hotel", though it took them some time to exchange the currency they typically used in Okoto to the currency of the future. Tahu's mind was on Godzilla. Since they left the museum, Tahu had done some research. Apparently, Godzilla had been around for years, fighting other Kaiju and causing destruction. Some people liked him, some people hated him. Over all, Tahu knew that he was extremely powerful, and extremely dangerous. And as far as Tahu knew, he currently had the Mask of Control in his possession.
"Looks like this is gonna take longer than I thought." Tahu muttered to himself. He looked at the clock, which read 7:00 PM. Judging by the dark sky outside, it was late at night. He decided the smart thing to do would be sleep until morning, and deal with the problem then. Just as he placed his head on his pillow, his door burst open. Lewa stuck his head into the room.
"Tahu, you've gotta check this out!" He said. "There's this thing in the room called a TV. It plays moving pictures!"
"Oh, this I gotta see." Tahu chuckled. He walked out of the room, and saw the Toa gathered around the TV. On the screen was a person standing in front of the museum they were just at a few hours ago. Tahu was really interested now. The person was talking about the events that had just happened.
"The Mask of Control was stolen by the notorious alien Kaiju Gigan, but luckily it was recovered by Godzilla and his army." She said.
"Godzilla has an army?" Tahu thought to himself. He furrowed his brow and continued to listen to what the person on screen was saying.
"I'm standing here with a member of Godzilla's army, Miss Mothra." She said. The image on screen extended outward, showing another woman standing next to them. She had short white hair, with a brown streak running down the right side. Tahu thought she looked absolutely gorgeous.
"So tell us, Mothra, what will happen to the Mask of Control now that it's officially a target of one of your greatest enemies?" The other woman asked.
"Well, I don't know all the details, but the mask will be transported to another museum in a new location outside of Tokyo in order to keep it safe." Mothra explained. "Godzilla and I, along with some others, will accompany it to make sure it is not stolen again."
"So Godzilla doesn't have the mask." Tahu thought. He felt some relief upon hearing this. But the mask was still out there. Lewa turned off the TV.
"So I guess we've gotta find out where the Mask is being transported to?" He asked.
"That would be the smart thing to do." Pohatu nodded. "But how are we gonna find that information?"
"I can help with that." Ekimu's voice once again appeared in their minds. "The Mask of Control will be transported to a place called Hokkaido by train."
The Toa nodded. They had trains back in Okoto, though the Toa guessed the trains in this timeline were much more advanced.
"Okay, I think we got it, Ekimu." Tahu said.
"Good luck, Toa." Ekimu said, and the voice disappeared. Once it did, Gali sat up and began walking to the door.
"Where're you going?" Lewa asked.
"I'll see if I can get us tickets to the next train to Hokkaido." Gali said. "I think I saw a train station back near the museum."
"I'll go with you." Kopaka said, sitting up as well. "It would be wise to travel in groups. We don't know this timeline too well.
Gali nodded, and grabbed her blue jacket from off the wall. Kopaka did the same with his white down jacket. It was somewhat cold out, so they guessed it was winter time. With their jackets on, they left the hotel room. Lewa turned back to the TV.
"Alright, let's see what else this thing can do." He said, turning it back on.

Meanwhile...

Finally, Gigan and the others reached the Ghidorah's ship. Destroyah was there waiting for them, as they stepped out of the pod.
"Did you get the mask?" He asked.
"Well... yes, and no." Gigan said. "We did get the mask..."
"But then Godzilla and his little friends beat us and took it back." Hedorah growled. Destroyah shook his head.
"Ghidorah's not gonna be happy with you when he finds out." He said.
"Find out about what?" A voice asked from behind him. Everyone looked to see Ghidorah himself approaching them. He already didn't seem like he was in a good mood.
"These three didn't get the mask." Destroyah explained. "Apparently Godzilla and the others beat them again."
Ghidorah glared at the three, who simply hung their heads.
"We would have gotten it if it weren't for Godzilla." Gigan mumbled. To everyones surprise, Ghidorah didn't reprimand them. He simply shrugged it off and smirked wickedly.
"No matter." Ghidorah said. "I have a new plan anyway."
He turned back around and walked away, beckoning the others to follow him. They did so, and ended up in Ghidorah's throne room, which doubled as the navigation centre of the ship. Ghidorah sat in his throne, and opened up a holographic display of six people. They each wore armour of different colours. Gigan raised an eyebrow.
"Who're they?" He asked.
"They are the Toa." Ghidorah explained. "According to legend, these 6 warriors obeyed the orders of Ekimu, the brother of Makuta, who wore the Mask of Control."
"Uh huh..." Biolante said, not quite seeing Ghidorah's point. "What do they have to do with anything?"
"They were recently spotted on Earth in Tokyo." Ghidorah explained. "Do you know what this means?"
The four others shook their heads. Ghidorah rolled his eyes and pulled up another image, this time of the Mask of Control.
"It means that the legends are true." Ghidorah said. "If these Toa traveled into the future to retrieve the Mask of Control, that must mean everything written about the mask is true!"
"I still don't get it." Hedorah said, scratching the top of his hooded head in confusion. "What do the Toa have to do with your plan?"
"It's quite simple. If we can convince the Toa that Godzilla wants to steal the mask for himself, we can trick the Toa into killing him themselves while we steal the mask behind their backs." Ghidorah explained. "I'll have the mask, and we'll be rid of Godzilla forever!"
Gigan raised an eyebrow and smirked. He looked back at Hedorah, Biolante, and Destroyah, who appeared to have similar reactions.
"Alright, so what's the plan?" Gigan asked. Another image appeared on screen, this time of a train map. It showed a red line going from Tokyo to Hokkaido.
"The mask will be transported on this train." Ghidorah explained. "You will find the train and attack it mid-route, and steal the mask."
"What about the Toa?" Hedorah asked.
"If they attack you, simply redirect their attention to Godzilla somehow." Ghidorah advised.
"Sounds simple enough." Destroyah nodded. Ghidorah grinned and stood up from his throne.
"Now get some rest." He commanded. "We have a lot to do tomorrow."

The Next Day...

Tahu looked as one of the trains passed by. He and the other Toa were right. These trains were much more advanced than the trains he was used to. Either way, he was excited to be done with all this once the Mask of Control was in their possession again. But then he remembered something; on the TV, that woman Kaiju named Mothra had stated she and Godzilla would be on the train, along with other Kaiju. So both the Toa and the Kaiju would be after the mask.
"This may be harder than I thought..." He muttered. While he thought about this, he bumped into someone.
"Oh, whoops. Sorry about that." The man he bumped into said.
"No, it's my fault. I wasn't watching where I was..." Tahu stopped when he realized who he was talking too. He recognized him immediately. The green hair. The blue eyes. The large stature. This was Godzilla. Tahu's eyes widened as he began to register what he was looking at.
"Are you feeling alright?" Godzilla asked.
"Y-yes." Tahu said. "I just realized who you are. You're Godzilla, right?"
"That I am." Godzilla nodded. "You've heard of me?"
"I saw you at the museum, fighting that other guy." Tahu explained.
"Oh, you were there, huh?" Godzilla chuckled, placing his arms behind his head. "Yeah, we managed to intercept some Kaiju who were trying to steal that mask. Now we're transporting it to another museum in Hokkaido."
"Interesting..." Tahu nodded. He was sure Godzilla would try to use the masks power for himself. "It just so happens my friends and I are going on the same train as you."
"That's quite the coincidence, huh?" Godzilla said. "By the way, I didn't catch your name"
"It's Tahu." He replied.
"Nice to meet you." Godzilla nodded, shaking Tahu's hand. "You're not from around here, are you?"
Tahu began to sweat slightly. He was beginning to suspect that Godzilla was onto him. "Uh... no, I'm not." He said. "Why do you ask?"
"Your name. It's Polynesian, right?" Godzilla asked. Tahu had no idea what he was talking about, but decided to go along with it to avoid suspicion.
"Yeah, it is." Tahu nodded. "I'm from an island a long ways away from here."
"Okay, cool." Godzilla nodded. "Well, I'll see you on the train, Tahu." And with that, he walked away. Tahu was extremely confused. From that interaction, Godzilla seemed like a pretty nice person. He certainly didn't seem like a powerful Kaiju, and definitely not the power-hungry being Ekimu said he would be.
"Maybe I was wrong..." Tahu said to himself. Before he could think on it further, he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up and saw Onua behind him.
"The train just arrived." He said. "Come on, we don't want to miss it."
Tahu nodded, and the two ran to catch their train.
