Keith

Keith was sat at the breakfast counter with his hand holding up his head, he seemed unengaged, annoyed almost.

"Keith, don't be so glum, it's your first day; everyone feels like that." Keith's mother tried to reason with him, but this act of kindness never worked towards the boy.

"Mom. Not helping." Keith replied, he didn't want to be there, he wanted to be in his bedroom sleeping through his many alarm clocks, the thought of going back to the assholes that made up his year never even crossing his mind. An alarm his mother set going off.

"Okay my mullet boy, I'll see you later" his mom shouted from their house while Keith ran down the driveway after the bus.

"Keith! I haven't seen you all summer, how have you been?" a very good friend of his, Pidge, shouted from the front of the school.

"Okay, I guess" the black haired boy replied, he was just disappointed about going back to school.

"Well, when you're ready to speak with the best human you will ever know, hit me up." Pidge skipped away, just as they usually did when needing to be sassy.

As Keith continued to the school, a tall, brown haired boy walked into him accidentally.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking." The boy paused, looking at Keith from his feet up to meet his eyes. The other boy was flustered, cheeks pink with embarrassment. He quickly tilted his head down,

"I'm Lance, I have to go." As if on a cue, the bell rang, forcing people into the school.

- Flash back to the morning

Lance

"Mijo, this is a new school, are you ready?" His mom said, trying to make Lance a bit more confident in himself here. This was his family's first move, from Oregon to the middle of New York. He hasn't been there long, but he wanted to make a good impression on people. So far, Lance has two friends; Hunk, who he met at their neighborhood park and Pidge, who Lance met while on a run, Pidge was sat in their garage working on some random piece of technology.

"Yeah mom, I think I'll do fine. It may be a new school but this is still the same old Lance."

"Alright, just try to make a good impression-" His mom was interrupted by Lance running out the door.

"Room 129, that's where I have to be" Lance was too busy looking at his phone to realize the raven haired boy he just walked into.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking." Lance said, flustered. After making eye contact with the shorter boy, Lance checked him out, looking at and admiring his body. His eyes met the beautiful purple-grey irises of the boy in front of him. Lance's head turned down

"I'm Lance, I have to go" and he ran into school after the bell.

"I'm Keit-" the black haired boy was cut off by being pushed down and the use of a slur.

Lance walked into his first period class. He was one of the first people there, behind a short girl with bright blue hair and a human he recognized as Pidge.

"Hey, man! How've you been?" Pidge said enthusiastically.

"I've been good, you?" Lance wanted to seem fine, but after you see the most beautiful boy in the world, it's hard to keep down the red in your face.

"Good, good. What's with the face?" Pidge asked, knowingly.

"I, uh, met a boy."
