Keith brought Lance out to his car and opened up the passenger seat door.

"Get in, kind sir" Keith brought back the terrible accent from the previous night. Lance sat down and buckled his seatbelt.

"Thank you, young gentleman." Lance replied, sounding just as a regal as the other boy did. Keith got into his car and put the key into the ignition, starting the car and driving away. Lance put his address into the GPS on Keith's phone, allowing the electronic voice tell Keith where to go.

-

"Lance Charles McClain! It's 1 o'clock! Where have you been?! And who is this?! You should have been home hours ago! I would have been more okay if you woke us all up at 2 in the morning!" Lance's mom shouted at him, but in a loving way. Her worry was evident in her yelling and it was oddly comforting to Lance.

"Mom, for one, this is Keith. I didn't come home last night because I too tired to drive and Keith tried to bring me home. He brought be back to his place as I fell asleep in his car. I'm home now though, please don't be mad." Lance replied, completely sincerely.

Lance's mom gave him a hug and let out a long sigh. "It's okay, everything is okay." she said into his shoulder, letting Lance go.

Keith and Lance both walked out the door, Lance closing the door behind him.

"So, that's my mother." Lance said, flustered.

"Yeah, that's your mother." Keith replied in his usual attitude, then proceeded to walk away. "I'm gonna go home. Have a good Saturday, loverboy."

"Wait" Lance grabbed Keith's arm, turning him around.

"What do you-" Keith was cut off by Lance's lips touching his. Fireworks exploded in their chests, violently and together. Both could see stars and music seemed to be playing in the background. Lance pulled away first, opening his eyes slowly as Keith copied.

"Well then." Lance said, in shock.

"Yeah." Keith replied catching his breath. "See you Monday, loverboy." Keith said, lovingly, while walking to his car.

"Bye, Mullethead." Lance shouted, endearment in his voice and a smile on his face.

-Monday morning, second period-

Lance walked into his English class to see Keith Kogane sat in the back, legs balanced on the desk in front of him. On Friday, the teacher said that she would be assigning seats on Monday, and no one should sit down when they came to class, but of course Keith did anyway.

"Mr. Kogane" the teacher, Mrs. Jeska, said sternly.

"Yes, Mrs. Jeska?" Keith replied, sounding smart and proud.

"Get up." she responded, sounding more stern.

Keith scrambled to get out of the chair, doing it with complete ease, picked up his backpack and stood next to Lance.

As the teacher was assigning seats, Keith and Lance were the only ones left up, and the only seats left were at the table in the back corner.

"Keith, Lance. Here." Mrs. Jeska said with a sigh. She decided that Keith may not be as annoying if he was sat next to a good kid, so Lance was her only option. They both sat down and looked at each other, grinning slightly.

"To start off the year, we will have a competition. This will allow me to understand the work ethic of you as groups. You will be working with the person next to you on an essay on why you think something simple is important and amazing. You will have two weeks and it can be finally presented in any way you choose, but an essay will have to be provided as well. All of the choices are in this hat and each pairing needs to grab one." Mrs. Jeska finished and grabbed the top hat behind her as people started walking up to her.

"Lance, I'll get it" Keith said, and bowed, before walking up.

"Okay so our topic is the importance of sleep, we got this" Keith explained while walking back.

"Uhh, I don't sleep." Lance said, trying to be convincing.

"That's not what you said on Saturday. I believe your words were 'Oh Keith, I'm so tired, can I fall asleep in your amazing arms?'" Keith replied, in his best Lance impression.

Lance hit him in the arm with an "Ugh" and opened up his computer.

"So, what are we doing with this thing?"
