What are you staring at? You thought to yourself as Jimin inched closer with a grin spreading on his face, his eyes basically disappearing, the way they usually did when he laughed. He seemed like he could be tipsy, but you honestly couldn't tell because he just had a naturally spontaneous personality.
"I know exactly what will make you feel better," he claimed, his smile not wavering at all. You couldn't help but smile back, because his cheerful personality was just that infectious.
"What makes you think that I need to feel better?" you questioned. For the first time in a while, you just honestly stopped caring about everything. While that may seem as if it isn't the greatest idea in and of itself, it has been working just fine so far. You've been doing your best at what you've done, but you surely haven't lost any sleep over things not going as planned.
Jimin turned his head slowly to the side, as if he was checking if anybody was around to hear. Nobody was. In fact, you two were sitting alone in his car in an empty parking lot, at around nine at night. You two had just left a pizza parlor where you two and a handful of other friends spent the night, eating more pizza than a dietician would probably suggest, and only God knows what everybody was drinking. You needed a ride home, but definitely didn't want Jimin driving if he was tipsy.
After a minute of silence, Jimin whispered lowly, "Everybody can use a bit more happiness in their life, yeah?" You gulped and nodded. You had no idea where he was going with this. "So just trust me on this."
You had no idea what to think, but you honestly didn't care. You were fairly sure he wasn't tipsy, just odd. You didn't know him too well, and you honestly wanted one of your girl friends to drive you home before, but he seemed like fun.
"Wow me," you urged, while positioning your feet on the dashboard and folding your arms behind your head. He laughed and revved up the engine of the car. Before you could even understand what was going on, he was pulling out of the parking lot and driving in the opposite direction of your house. You didn't care.
"So like, what do you listen to?" you asked him, flipping through his glove compartment, thinking there would be CDs or some sort of music in there.
"I've got an aux cord, and you've got a phone. Play whatever you want," he challenged. "I don't care, y/n." You stared at him in shock for a few seconds before smiling. He's your kind of guy.
"Fine then," you agreed and put your playlist on shuffle. Some of the songs you purchased years ago and would be embarrassed if even your pet heard them, but at this point... that didn't matter. You blasted the music through the car radio, turning the volume up so loud that the car shook slightly. You rolled down the windows and let the wind whip through your hair as you screamed the lyrics to your favorite songs. Occasionally Jimin would join in. Unfortunately, he actually sounded like a good singer. Neither of you cared about each other's singing ability, though. To both of you, this wasn't about singing. It was about finally finding somebody who wouldn't judge them for who they were, and just feeling free.
Jimin abruptly stopped the car in what looked like the middle of nowhere. Well, it actually looked like nothing, since nothing was visible. "We're here," he cheered with a smirk on his face.
Well, where the hell is here? You thought to yourself. You trusted Jimin, but you weren't sure what to think anymore.
"Get out of the car," he continued, nonthreateningly. With that, you stepped out of the car.
