as River and i made our way down, we came acrossed my dad.
"where are you two going?" he asked. River looked up at him, "i am taking her out to lunch, sir."
my dad raised an eyebrow and River. "yeah, sure. whatever. be safe."
i took a breath and looked at River, who also raised a brow at me.
we made it to a nice little restaurant and got seated. we made small talk, and though it wasn't as talkative as i wanted, i was okay with it.
i had River acrossed from me, and that's all i could ever ask for. the way the sun made his eyes sparkle, and his face glow, was absolutely beautiful.
he smiled at me as he caught me staring, "everything alright over there?" i chuckled a bit, "yes, of course."
we ordered our food and talked about our favorite things.
eventually, we had to head back to our hotel. i never wanted this day to end. we got into my hotel and took our shoes off.
"hey, why don't we go to my room?" he suggested. i shrugged my shoulders and took his hand as he led me to his room.
we sat on his bed as he pulled out a box of books and records. a lot of these books were stuff that he had written himself. i traced my fingers along the words, his writing was beautiful.
we both looked up and our eyes met, slowly, we started leaning in. i closed my eyes, and our lips were just barely touching.
i leaned in a little more and connected our lips, and he put his hand on my cheek, while his other hand tangled in my hair.
we began to slowly make out, it wasn't rushed, or rough. it was slow, and passionate.
i moved down to his neck and gave him an accidental hickey.
i moved back up to his lips, and after what felt like forever, we pulled apart,
"Ariadne, will you be my girlfriend?"
i looked at him with disbelief, i choked on my words.
"yes! oh my god, yes!"
we smiled and we layed down and pulled the covers over us. he wrapped his arm around me, and kissed my forehead.
we got to a point where i was so comfortable, it was going to be so hard to wake up from this nap.
