surprise!

Rivers POV

"ugh, it's so beautiful here! i can't believe summer is almost over, i won't see you anymore." Ariadne stated.
"incorrect." i said.
she looked at me with a questioning look, "huh?" she said.
i giggles and took her hand and went out to the balcony.
"you see, this place means so much more to me now. i met you here. i fell in love with you here. i had my first kiss with you in this hotel, and it makes me happy having you by my side, Ari. i don't want to leave this place, and now we don't have to." i explained.
"what? what do you mean?" she asked.
"do you see that yellow house over there?" i pointed, and she nodded her head.
"a few weeks ago, i bought that house. i payed people to paint it the perfect shade of yellow because it is your favorite color. everything is in there, and we're free to move in anytime." i said.
she smiled and jumped at me enthusiastically.
"what about my dad!? my mom? what about your family!" she said.
"your dad said he would talk to your mom and they both agreed as long as you're happy. they're not too far from us. my family is alright with it."
"well let's go!" she practically screamed.

Ariadnes POV

River and i made our way to the cute little house. it was absolutely breath taking. we walked inside, and inside i saw many pictures of us. and there was a little old lady inside feeding our new kittens.
"you got us kittens!?"
"i did, four of them." he smiled.
ugh, my heart.
"you're the lady from the bakery!" i said.
"oh hello dear! i see everything has made its way into place with you." she smiled and winked.
"river i did the laundry and cleaned up the place. i made the bed and made sure things were ready for you." she said and she hobbled out.
"i can't believe you've done this river."
"Ariadne, since the day i laid eyes on you, i haven't stopped thinking about you. when you're sleeping next to me, and i can't sleep, i get this overwhelming and powerful feeling of how much i love you. i want you to stay by my side always and i promised myself that if i ever got a girlfriend, i would do everything in my power to make sure i never lose her. and i never want to lose you. ever."
i smiled and looked down, "you're amazing river and i don't know what i did to deserve you. you're a literal angel, god must have spent a lifetime on you."
he pulled me into a hug, and kissed my forehead.
"i love you so much, ariadne."
and although i know he means no harm, i couldn't help but cry.
he held me tighter,
"i know what you're feeling, and i'm sorry you're feeling like this. i promise i'm not going anywhere Ariadne."
i cried even harder, i would be lying if i said losing river was something i could handle.

we pulled apart and he wiped my face off, "let's go check out the upstairs huh?" he said.
i smiled and we walked upstairs.
the bedroom was beautiful. it was painted a grey shade, with white trim. we had a water bed, and so much space for everything. we walked into the bathroom connected to our bedroom, there was a glass shower, and a garden tub.
"i love this so much river, i love you so much."
he smiled and kissed me.

we walked back to the hotel hand in hand, and grabbed everything from our hotel rooms. since we struggled a bit, Wil and my dad came to help us.
we made it to the house and put everything down. Wil and River stepped out and my dad looked at me.
"i'm sorry i am always too busy for you, and i'm sorry for never being the greatest dad, but i love you, kid. you've grown so fast and your mother and i are so proud of the young women you've become, and the fact that you chose to be with river of all people warmed our hearts. we know we can trust you both. stay safe."
he pulled me into a hug and for once, i know he meant it.
