stars don't shine

coming on set

this morning River asked me to come down to the set and watch them, so i got dressed and put my hair up.
we walked down hand in hand, Wil and Jerry greeted us with a smile as if nothing happened yesterday. we smiled back and waved while Corey rolled his eyes.
River sat me down in a chair that allowed me to get a good view no matter where the cameras were.
10 minutes into the scene River started stuttering, and eventually he was crying. they stopped the cameras and River ran off.
i got out of my chair and slowly walked to where he had gone. he was a little further into the woods up against a tree.
he looked up at me and sniffled as i gave him a weak smile.
"may i?" i asked as i motioned towards the spot next to him. he nodded and gave me a little more space.
he put his head on my shoulder and grabbed my hand.
"are you okay?" i asked. he shook his head, "i shouldn't be an actor. i can't read like everybody else. my letters get switched around, words don't make sense, and when i look back at them, they look like they're different than the first time i saw them. i'm stupid."
"hey don't say that. i have the same problem, maybe that's why you couldn't tell when you read my journals. we'll figure this out someday. but for now, i believe in you, and you CAN do this River. there's only one scene you're doing today and then you're done. okay?"
he nodded his head and looked at me, our eyes met and he gave me a kiss. he stood up and gave me a hand to help me up, we walked back and i sat in my chair.
before they started rolling, he looked at me and i gave him a reassuring nod. he took a breath, and they started.
River truly is talented, he gives so much emotion while acting, he was born to do it, that's for sure. the way he moves is so beautiful, and he sounds like an angel.
he is an angel.
eventually, they finished the scene. River came and gave me a tight hug and thanked me. we walked back to the hotel and got ready for dinner.
"hey, could we get your address? so we can write to eachother?" Wil asked.
"say, that's a good idea!" River added, "yeah! can i have it too?" Jerry said.
i laughed a little and wrote it down and gave it to them.
they took it and went to their rooms, but River stayed behind.
"hey, have you seen that movie, Grease?" River asked.
"unfortunately i haven't, though i'd like to. it looks great!" i said.
he smiled, "well, my manager said we can take his car to a drive in tomorrow night, they're playing grease just down the road, IF you're interested."
i smiled and jumped like a child, "yes!"
he chuckled and pulled me into a hug, "you make me so happy, Ariadne." i nuzzled my face into his neck to hide my blushing and smiled.
you make me happy too, i thought. you make heart jump out of my chest.
we pulled away and looked at eachother. his thumb caressed my cheek for a moment, and went back to my hand.
he moved his hands to the small of my back, and leaned in to kiss me. i closed my eyes, and wrapped my arm around his neck. i never wanted this to end.
