Secrets

Neither me or Alex talked about what happened yesterday. Everytime he would walk past me his hand would brush mine and I shiver would run down my spine. I'd never felt like this before not even with Jackson. I was sad that we hadn't really been able to spend a minute alone all day but when Alex said he had to leave because he was getting some shopping for his home that he shared with his older brother.I jumped at the chance. A bit to quickly probably as I got  confused look from Jake.
'Sorry it's just that you know me and shopping'
Jake and Alex smiled.
'Girls' Jake replied turning back to the TV.  He had Dixie on his lap and was smoothing her head while she fell asleep on his lap.
'Let's go' Alex mouthed.
He helped me into my wheel chair.
And then we went out the door. We were going with Matthieu in his car.
He was parked up waiting for us outside the house but when he saw is he jumped out to help me in the car. Alex said he was gonna sit in the back seeing as I don't really like car rides. Matthieu understood and said if I wanted him to stop he would straight away. I was thankful for him.
Matthieu started the car and Alex placed his hand on the cast on my thigh.
I thought I was ok with cars now seeing as it was a while since the accident. But I started to feel hot and sweaty. Alex saw me and automatically helped me take off the jacket I was wearing.
'Thanks' I mouthed to him.
Instead of resting  his hand on my thigh he placed it on top of my hand.
Matthieu looked back in his mirror at us. Which was bad timing because we were looking into each others eyes.
'What's going on between you two' he said.
'Nothing' Alex replied 'I was just uhh looking at her to see if she's ok.'
Good line but Matthieu wasn't buying it.
He laughed ' come on Alex your older brother what's said in this car stays in this car and I promise to keep my mouth zipped.
Alex ran a hand through his hair. He always did this when he was nervous.
Alex was about to talk when Matthieu cut him off.
'Let's me make this easier for you I'm guessing you've both had a crush on each other since Everest moved here, sometime this week Alex has told Everest that he loves her and she said she loves him to and now you're keeping it a secret'
I looked at Alex amazed. Matthieu had got it all right.
'Yeah that's about right' Alex said ' how did you know'
'Yeah well' now it was his turn to be nervous 'I've had my fair share of secret romances, let me give you two some advice, I hate to say It but they never turn out the way you want them to'
'But if Jake and Logan find out I don't know what they'll do they'll probably hate me' I said.
Alex pulled me in close to him.
'We'll if he hates you then he's gonna have to hate me to' he said.
My cast on my arm was sticking in me but I tried not to think about it.
' thanks' I said 'but I wouldn't want him to hate you not after all you've done for me'
'Come on guys I'm in the car to no lovey dovey stuff it's disgusting' he laughed.
Me and Alex laughed.

I was just hoping Jake and Logan never found out.
