I ran back to the shops car park grabbing Alex on the way. I jumped in the car pulling him in with me.
'Jake what is it, let go of me' He said looking confused at me.
'Everest's locked in the back of a van and they've driven off with her' I said putting my foot down on the gas and speeding out of the car park ' and we're going after her'
The van didn't have a number plate so trying to find it was useless, but I had to try. We sped off onto the highway. I saw a white van, but when I got behind it it wasn't the Same one and it had a number plate.
'This is useless' I cried out.
I looked over at Alex. He looked how I felt. He was shaking like a leaf and he had gone very pale.
'Look Jake he could be anywhere by now lets go home and contact the Police' he said calmly.
'What are the police gonna do I didn't even see what the man looked like.' I replied hitting the steering wheel with my fist.
I pulled off the highway anyway and drove back into LA.
I pulled over and dialled 911. I told them what had happened and they said they'd send a search party out immediately and that all of there groups would be notified and out looking for her as she's a voulnarable child.
That wasn't enough I needed to find her.
I needed to tell her I was sorry.
