Hide and seek

It was two o'clock in the morning now and it was pitch black but we were all still determine to find her. All of the lights on the sidewalk were off so we could barely see a thing apart from where our head lights shone.
'What if we don't find her?' I said.
'Don't worry bro well find her and if we don't we can ask the police to help' Ray reassured me.
'I'm so dumb, why didn't I just call the police in the first place!' I said placing my head in my hands.
This was starting to get hopeless so we decided to get out on foot and look around a bit more. We all got out and Jake and Mark got out of there's. When Jake got out I saw that his cheeks were red and tear stained.
I walked over to him and hugged him he hugged me back. He was in tears. I don't think me or anybody else had seen him like this.
'What have i done?' He mumbled 'I've lost her'
'Yeah you shouldn't have let her go but how did you know she was gonna actually go' I replied.
We all make stupid mistakes but we all gotta help fix them.
I handed out spare torches that we found in the back of our cars and we all went out looking in every alleyway, behind everybin.
Another hour into the search and we still load nothing.
Alex ran up to me out of breath.
'I think I know where she could be ' he panted 'it's somewhere hidden I showed her. '
I called everyone in and sprinted back to the car. I sat in the front with Alex next to me telling me where to go.
It was quite far away. But I put my foot down and we were there in 40 minutes.
I jumped out the car.
We were by a park.
'Don't tell me she's in a park on her own at this time of night?' I said shaking. Alex led us to a wooded area away from the paths and benches. He disappeared through a bush and I followed signalling for everyone else to wait there for us. As I turned the corner I saw Everest's wheel chair just abandoned in a bush. This terrifies me but Alex said this was a good thing and that it meant Everest was here. We walked down a wooded path both of us shaking like leaves hoping she would come into view.
We came to a corner. 
'Wait there' Alex told me ' Please can I go speak to her seeing as it's my fault she kinda did this I promise I won't be long'
I wanted to go round there first but he did have a point.
I nodded to him. 'Don't be long' I mouthed.

                         ALEX'S POV

I turned the corner and there she was her head resting on her knees crying.
'Everest' I called running over to her. I picked her up, realising how small and delicate she felt. I held her close.
'Everest are you ok' i finally whispered.
'Yeah I just didn't think Jake would react like that, I was acctually kinda scared of him.' She said pulling away and looking up at me.
'You know he actually came to help us look for you. '
'US? What do you mean us?' She asked.
Logan stepped out from where he had been stood.
'He means the whole of Team 10, Everest you really gave us a scare.' He said. It was true she did give us a huge scare.
'You wanna go home' Logan asked.
'Yeah can we go home' Everest replied.
I wrapped my jacket round her shoulders and helped her to stand. 
Logan said he'd carry her back and that I should wheel the chair back to the Tesla so we could put it in the trunk. He picked her up and we walked back down the path way. When we were back in the main park Logan put Everest down on the floor as Jake came sprinting over to hug Everest.
'Oh Everest I'm so sorry, I never meant what I said I was just in a bad mood and I was kinda disappointed that you hadn't told me about Alex.' He said.
'And Im so sorry for not telling you the truth' she replied still holding on tightly to Jake.
'Let's all go home were all a bit exhausted now' Logan laughed helping Everest back to the car.
