It has been a whole month since that one night. Everyday since, Grayson has been coming home late and yelling at you saying how worthless you are. There is only reason why you haven't left yet and it's because of Hunter. You still don't know what happened to Grayson, but everytime you ask he just yells at you more. It really hurts to see him like this.. There's only so much more you can take before you had the last straw.

Currently
You are sitting on your side of the bed dangling your legs off the side as your head is drooped down.
"What's wrong with you?" Grayson asks with no sympathy as he walks in the room.
"Nothing, it doesn't matter."
He sits down on the bed next to you....
"What.... Is..... Wrong?" He asks growing angry.
".......I don't know if you care or not but... I'm pregnant." Your voice becomes shaky.
"That's not possible.. We haven't done it in over a month." He says denying the truth.
"Yeah well.. I found out over a month ago."
He just sat there in silence not moving or even looking at you.

"How could you do this" he says looking over at you.
"Y/N YOU RUIN EVERYTHING" He shouts.
"You know what I'm done here" you say while getting up from the bed and exiting the room.
"Where are you going?" He asks following behind you.
You didn't say anything but when you left the room there stood Hunter. You picked him up and brought him to his room.
"Time for bed honey" you say while lying him down.
"Mommy?"
"Yes baby."
"Is daddy mad again?" Your heart dropped as he said this.
"Why do you ask?"
"Because I heard him yelling again" he responds in a sweet innocent voice.
You tried hard not to cry but a tear slipped out anyways.
"No baby.. Everything is fine okay?" You say while kissing his forehead.

"How come daddy is mad all the time?"
"..... What's with all the questions buddy?"
"Sorry mommy" he says looking terrified.
"Hey... It's ok.. You didn't do anything wrong. Just get some sleep."
You tucked him in and left the room. When you closed the door you saw Grayson standing there listening to what was said in the room. You looked at him as he looked at you and you walked into your bedroom going to sleep.

The next morning

"Are you ready for school?" You ask while walking into Hunter's room. He is in preschool.
"Yes mommy" he says while running over to your legs hugging them.
"Well let's go!" You smile.
When you walk out of the room you see Grayson standing there looking down at Hunter.
"Hey buddy" he says kneeling down.
You look down at Hunter as he is scooting closer and closer to you and holding your leg. He looks up to you with fear and you know he is terrified.
"What's wrong?" Grayson asks him.
Hunter just ignores him and Grayson also realizes the look of terror in his face.
"Let's go before we are late." You say softly. Hunter does not budge and is squeezing your leg tighter than before. He finally let go and ran past Grayson going down the stairs. Gray is looking down at the floor so you took the opportunity to also flee before he says anything. You get down to the car and drive Hunter to school.

I really hope you are enjoying the story I personally think this is so sad. Maybe because I'm emotional but anyways thanks for reading it means so much to me. Let's remember to stay positive and try to eliminate some of the negativity in the world 🌏.
