I just want to quickly say that the first few chapter of this story are short and kinda rubbish. The chapters do get better around Chapter 10. I hope you all stick around until the end of the story, as it is now completed. (I am writing a sequel though, and the pasts of the two main characters!) I was nervous about the adoption. I couldn't believe that dad and mom made me go through this. I miss them but hate them as well.
My friend next to me elbowed me.
"Hey Brit, you hear 'bout the adoption today?"
I turned to see her beautiful smile.
"No. I didn't but..."
The announcements interrupted me when I was just about to say it!
"All children 10-15 come down to the adoption waiting room to be interviewed."
My friend jumped up and grabbed my arm.
"Let's go! "
I couldn't ungrip her hand off my arm but we were going to the same place anyhow.
