A/N hai guys, sorry for the late update but I've been reading TMI so I couldnt find time
Percy felt a feeling of both relief and panic. They were finally out of that hole. But now they were trapped in a grassy field, with nothing but streatches of lan in front of them, unless percy squinted very har, he thought he saw something that looked like the ocean. They ha just iris-messaged the crew to tell them they were out of the place, and Leo was going to track them somehow. 'I'm glad we're out of that place.' Annabeth said. 'But now what?'
'Well, I think I see an ocean ahead. It'll be easier for Leo if he's going by ocean. C'mon, lets go.'
'Okay. But don't blame me if there's a bunch of monsters there.

As it turned out, the walk was further then Percy had thought and their first monster attack was a gryphon. It made Percy jump and uncap riptide faster the you could say 'monster'. he slashed through it easily and continued walking. They kept on beinng attacked by one moter at a time, until Percy started to get suspicious. He had started to time how long it took for each monster to come and attack them. It was exactly 12 minutes, every time.Somehow Annabeth had been recording exactly the same thing, because she said. 'Hey. its weird how they only come in exactly two minutes apart.'
"I know. I was thinking the same thing.' Percy frowned
'Yeah. Hey.. what is Gaia's doing this on purpose?'
'Took you long enough, didn't it daughter of Athena' whispered a voice out of nowhere.
Percy sighed. 'I knew it. Now go away unless you want your butt kicked, Gaia.'
'I would love to my dear, but you see I need you for something else beside getting my butt kicked' Gaia said
It was Annabeth's turn to sigh. 'You really think we would fall for that?'
And as if right on cue, both of them drew there weapons and gaia turned solid.
Gaia laughed. 'Oh, so you want to do it that way? No powers, just combat?'
Percy gritted his teeth. 'Yes. Now swear on the River styx that you won't go using your powers. Just combat and weapons.'
Gaia had a very awake creepy smile that really put Percy off. 'Yes. I swear on the river styx.'
'Very well. Let us BEGIN!' Annabeth yelled.
Gaia attacked with surprising force, wielding a sword made out of hardened clay, but she must've really underestimated them. Percy and Annabeth worked as a team, fighting like never before. They were back-to-back, and percy now felt a familiar feeling. He couldn't count how many times they'd fought back-to-back. That feeling gave him more strength, but Gaia kept on fighting. Slowly, they were starting to lose energy, but so was Gaia. Eventually she caught them both off guard, and with that creepy smile on her face and her sword pointed at their necks, she said. 'I win. Now I'm allowed to use my powers to the extreme, aren't I?
Everything dissolved into really dark green, almost black. They were spinning like mad, and percy started to feel himself lose consciousness. The only thought that kept him awake was Annabeth, holding his hand right beside him. Now matter how they twisted, they never let go.
