|| Melissa's POV ||
My head was throbbing. It felt like someone was using them as drums, constantly hitting the top of my head. My stomach was aching. It felt like someone was poking at it, digging at it.
I slowly started to open my eyes, my head hurting even more as I was looking directly at some light. It was blinding, my eyes weren't adjusting so well to the brightness.
Distant voices started to become audible however I was unable to make out what they were saying. It only began to become more clear as I started to return to consciousness. My vision was blurry. It was hard to see due to the instant light that entered my eyes.
One sounded like a man who was in his mid twenties, coming close to his thirties. It was a British accent, slightly gravelly, something most of America's girls become 'wet' over. Nothing that I am into all that much.
The other sounded somewhat familiar. Though, at that moment, I couldn't wrap my finger around it. He sounded as if he was in his early twenties, obviously younger than the other male. What were they talking about? They sounded as if they were arguing, about...something?
My hearing returned to me, along with my sight. I still felt very dizzy and rather disorientated. I couldn't get my bearings straight. Where even was I? I had never seen this place before. I was clearly in someone's house, in their living-room. Their walls were painted a light blue with a grey accent wall to balance out the colours. A TV sat in the far corner, beside the main window and I was on their sofa that was grey with a blue visible seam. A small chair was angled beside the sofa, made exactly like the sofa was made. Someone clearly had a good eye for interior decorating in this house.
There were a few paintings on the walls along with photographs of most likely the home owners. The men were in fact arguing, they appeared to be in the kitchen. I stood up from the sofa, wobbling a little due to my head spinning and my legs feeling a little weak. I managed to pull myself together before walking into the kitchen.
"You need to-"
"Ahem.." I softly caught their attention. The taller one with slicked black hair and blue eyes looked at me with a soft yet concerned smile. I returned the smile.
"You're awake, how are you feeling?" He asked with genuine concern.
"A little shaken and dizzy, but other than that I am fine.." I replied, putting my hand on my forehead.
"Oh, I am terribly sorry about this" He was very polite and considerate. Are all British like this? If so, I can understand why girls love them so much and not just because of their accent. [The answer is no...no we are not all like this..]
"Forgive me, but where am I, who are you and why am I here?" I had to ask, I wasn't just going to play it off like none of this was happening or even pretend like I knew what had happened and what was going on at this very moment.
"Oh..." his face instantly dropped and he turned to what I assumed to be his friend to his right. I raised an eyebrow in confusing as I followed his gaze. My eyes instantly widened at the sight.
It was him. It was that monster. The man that killed all those innocent people. That man that killed Louise..
"You.." I growled, glaring at him with both terrified and pissed eyes.
"Oh no..." He simply said. That only angered me more. He was obviously aware of what he did. Why did he knock me out? Why did he bring me here? I couldn't even ask him these questions, I was concentrating on my anger towards him to think rationally.
"You killed her!" I screamed, tears began to form in my eyes as I thought of what he did to her.
"Killed who?" He asked. Oh that's it. Acting innocently. Pretending like he had no idea what I was talking about. If I could, I'd do the same thing to him as he did to Louise, but that wouldn't do any good.
"You know exactly who" I hissed. I balled my fists up, really wanting to punch him.
"I honestly have no clue what you're talking about Miss. But I can assure you, I did not kill anyone" He walked closer to me, I took a step back, not taking my gaze off of him.
My tense shoulders relaxed when I looked into his eyes, closely inspecting them. They are...brown?
"Wha- You look...just like..." I was beyond confused at this point. Didn't the killer have red eyes? Unnatural coloured eyes is rare but I believe it could be a little more common than everyone thinks, especially since I am one with purple eyes.
"I found you out in an ally way, knocked out. I couldn't just leave you there but I do not own a phone, so it was impossible to call for an ambulance. And the nearest hospital was actually pretty far from your location, so I brought you here" He began explaining. I couldn't concentrate on anything. This was all too confusing for me.
He looks exactly like the killer, but with brown eyes. Was he wearing contacts? Or was this really another person?
"I am way too confused to even think straight right now" I held onto my head. This whole situation was physically hurting my brain.
"Are you alright?" The taller one asked, walking towards me and placed his hand on my shoulder, looking at me with concern.
"I'm fine. This situation is just hurting my brain.." I replied, giving reassurance to my current state.
"You should rest some more, we'll deal with this tomorrow. What is your name?" The brown haired male asked, helping me over to the sofa.
"Melissa. Melissa Brown" I replied, plumping down on the sofa, with the men either side of me.
"I am Johnny Ghost, Paranormal Investigation Extraordinaire! And this is my best friend and partner, Johnny Toast!" Ghost boomed, only causing more pain on my head.
"Wait..you're both called Johnny" I asked, looking between them both, who were grinning at me.
"Now my head hurts even more..." I groaned as the two laughed.
