| Melissa's POV |

It's been weeks since Ghost had run off, and the innocent blood that has been spilled has been increasing. Toast, Sally, Billy, Gertrude, Papa and I have been having the worst luck with tracking him and things have been getting more intense as the days have gone by.

"We still have no sign of him" Toast paced back and forth. Sally was busy eating waffles I had prepared for her. Billy was doing whatever it was he usually does while Papa and Gertrude were judging everything we were doing.

"This is hopeless" Papa groaned.

"Every time we get closer to him, we lose him!" He continued, flailing his arms around in anger at the whole situation.

"Now Papa- "Gertrude tried to calm him down, but he was already losing it.

"Don't 'Now Papa me, Gertrude! It's hopeless. This British fool doesn't know a darn thing he is doing" He growled, pointing angrily at Toast who stopped in his tracks, glaring at the fat man.

"And her!" He continued, now pointing the finger at me. My heart practically stopped, I jumped in surprise of his actions. My eyes were wide, looking directly into the man's eyes.

"I've never seen this girl in my entire life! How on earth can we trust her?!" He hissed. His words stung like grazes after falling onto concrete. My eyes were burning as tears filled them up.

"Don't you dare say anything like that towards Melissa!" Toast growled, snapping at Papa who fell into a chair, shocked by Toast's outburst.

"She is probably the most helpful out of you all! So, don't you ever hurt her again!" My cheeks flushed red at Toast's defensive attitude. He stood in front of me, facing the Acachalla's who were all staring at him wide eyed, dumbfounded at Toast finally being more than the polite brains he was out of the two in the P.I.E group.

Toast turned around, still looking at the family from the corner of his eye before looking down at me, who was staring at him. His blue eyes softened when he looked down.

He turned back around to the family, returning his stance with a firm expression on his face. "Now if you don't mind, I would like to get back on track onto something as important as getting my best friend" He growled in a serious tone.

The four looked at each other before nodding quietly in response. The fear in their eyes was obvious.

"Where do you propose we start this time?" Acachalla asked, slight agitated about being talked down by some British man who has no idea what he is doing.

"If he still has his phone in him, I could try to track him through that. I implanted a chip inside of it, in case he got lost somehow" Toast suggested.

"But what if he doesn't have his phone? Or if he found the chip and took it out?" I counter suggested.

"We just have to hope he does have it on him..." Toast knew of the possibilities of Ghost being without his phone. It's happened before a lot.

Toast took out his laptop he brought along and booted it up. Curious, I stood behind him, watching the screen as it started up. Toast seemed to tense up a little, slight pink tint in his cheeks.

He cleared his throat before starting to track Ghost, hoping he had his phone in him at least.

He launched a weird program that was too confusing for my brain to handle.

"Now we just hope he has his phone on him.." Toast bit his bottom lip, deeply hoping for there to be a moving red dot on the screen.

A blinking red dot finally appeared on screen after a few minutes of waiting and to our relief, it was on the move and not back at Ghost and Toast's place. We all let out a sigh of relief until Sally spoke.

"But what if that is some stranger who found his phone?" for someone who was rather childish at her age, she has her moments where she was right.

Toast began to sweat once more, taking in the reality of that being possible, which at the moment seemed pretty high due to the state Ghost was in. He could've easily dropped it and forgot about it. Or whatever is controlling him must've been smart to lose it but not smart enough to destroy it.

"Good point Sale..." he spoke softly. All of this was getting too much for him. His best friend it out there, possibly possessed by an entity controlling him to murder innocent people for his own entertainment.

I placed my hand on Toast's shoulder, comforting him. He looked at him, his blue eyes were clear and easy to read. Fear. Worry. Pain.

My eyes softened, my eyebrows furrowed into sadness. I felt bad for Toast. I might've lost a friend but he is losing his best friend. I wanted to pull him in for a hug but not with these other people around.

"This might be difficult but we will find a way to track him and prevent any further deaths" I spoke semi-confident. I wanted to make them all know that there was someone confident that we could do it, helping them become more confident. It would give us a better chance to succeed if we thought around the possible bumps in the road.

Papa gave me a cold stare, which made me lose my confident composure. I was intimidated by his glare. I just wanted to run out of the house. The rest were sharing looks, making me more nervous.

Toast nodded, "Melissa is right. We need to stay positive. We can figure how to get around these hardships" he took one last look at the screen before shutting down the laptop and closed it, tucking it away in his bag.

"Melissa, Billy. You two come with me. Sally, Gertrude and Papa. Stay here and keep an eye on the area in case he returns. Use Spencer's computer to track us." Toast was now bursting with confidence. I smiled, feeling proud of boosting Toast's confidence in the task at hand. The three of us left the building and jumped in the van. Toast handed me his bag, telling me to jump in the back and use the laptop to keep track of Ghost's whereabouts.

"So why did you get me to tag along?" Billy asked in his childish voice, buckling himself in as Toast pulled out of the drive way.

"We may need a medic" he said simply, almost no emotion. It's true, he has returned back to the original Toast.

His words didn't put me at ease in the slightest.
