Clarke returned from the grounder camp, unharmed. I rushed to her and gave her a hug, and Abby did the same. Not long after her return, there was a swarm of people waiting to hear how the meeting had gone.
"So, what'd she say?" I said.
"Is there a way to have peace?" Abby added.
"Yes." Clarke nodded, looking between Finn and I. "They want Finn and Aiden. If we want a truce we have to give them over."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Raven snapped.
"That's their offer."
"That's not an offer!"
"They want Aiden because she brought Lincoln back to life, they think she has some healing ability." Clarke informed.
"And they want me because of what happened at the village. Blood for blood." Finn sighed.
"What if we refuse?" Abby said stern.
"Then they attack." Clarke spoke.
In that moment, the people around us became restless and started to shout.
"I'm not dying for them! I say give them over!"
Something inside of Raven snapped, and she started to push and shove at them. I had to grab her in order to hold her back from getting involved.
"Raven, hey, stop! We're going to be okay!" I said, making direct eye contact.
Another member of the camp revolted, causing Raven to throw punches and she was arrested and taken to lock up.
Complete chaos was forming, all over two kids.

Finn and I sat separate from the others, not sharing any words. Just as I threw a rock, Clarke and Bellamy joined us.
"We're doubling our defenses and guards. They won't be getting through." Bellamy informed, trying to help us feel better.
"Yet." I scoffed, throwing another rock.
"We need to get you two inside so we can keep you safe." Clarke stated.
"We aren't going to hide." Finn fought back, getting an agreeing nod from me.
Before anyone could say more, Raven came barging over.
"We need to get you guys out of here. Now!"
****
I paced in the drop ship, waiting for Finn and Clarke to show.
"They'll be here, okay? They always show up." Bellamy tried calming.
"That was before the woods were packed with grounders." I snapped back.
We heard footsteps outside and stood ready to fight, but Finn came running in. Clarke was out cold in his arms.
"What happened?" I sighed, placing a rag over her head wound.
"Grounder scout. Hit her on the head." Finn said, watching from afar.
"She'll be okay." I said, joining him in the corner, "Will you?"
"Aiden, our people are in danger because of us!"
"We'll figure it out!"
"That's what she said too right before the grounder attacked." Finn snapped, nodding at Clarke.
"Yeah, well, I have an idea. They won't like it or agree with it."
"There's grounders outside!" Bellamy warned.
The others began to fight. They were deciding whether they could give them Murphy instead of Finn, so I got Finn's attention. He saw where my eyes wandered and he nodded in agreement.
"Enough! Okay?" Finn shouted. "We're gonna stay and fight. Murphy, take the upper level. You three watch the front. Aiden and I will cover the lower level."
Bellamy nodded in agreement, making his way out front. Finn went to Raven, and I went to Clarke. To say goodbye.
"Be safe, okay?" I said, trying to smile.
"I will. And so will you." She stated, looking directly into my eyes.
I nodded, "May we meet again."
Without a reply, she smiled and followed Raven out to the front gate. Finn and I made eye contact with each other, nodded, and made our way out of the drop ship. We dropped down just in front of the gate with our hands up. We turned around to look at our friends one last time.
"Aiden!" I heard Clarke scream as arms swarmed around me and pulled me away.
****
"At least let me do it."I begged, tears filling my eyes.
"He took 18 lives! He must suffer the pain of 18, too." She ordered.
That's when they dragged Finn out and tied him to the pole. His eyes locked on mine and we could sense each other's fear.
"They don't need to know." I snapped, "We have felt pain, just like all of you. You are different from all of the others, so prove that! Clarke sees it, so show it to the rest of us. Show it to me. Let me bare the pain so the others don't have to."
The commander paused in deep thought, and gave me a quick nod. She quietly slid a blade into my sleeve and looked to the others.
"You may have your goodbye!" she shouted, letting me know that this was the time.
I swallowed hard and hugged Finn tightly when I reached him. We both were scared, but he was the first to be vocal.
"I'm so scared." He spoke with a shaky voice.
"Clarke loves you, too." I cried, hugging him and pushing my hand into his chest, "You don't have to be scared anymore."
"Thanks, floor girl." He sighed, letting his head fall.
I stepped away slowly and looked down at my hands. There was blood caked over them and I began to cry harder than ever. I looked back up to Finn.
He was dead.
I killed Finn.
