The headmaster Had been in his office the previous night, finishing his project for the evening when the Enchanted Great Hall doors had alerted him that two first-years students had just re-entered the castle. He were about to alert a teacher to fetch the misbehaving children when he noticed something rather odd. His two students, ~Hermione Granger of Grifendor~ & Draco Malfoy of Slytherin~ were not Children at all, but now in their late Teens. He concluded that the doors had let a Future set of his now Young Students through, being that the DNI put into the Charm was still the same.

He placed a Charm over his desk, Watching the Short redhead, and Slim Blonde roam the halls from inside his office. The teaches chambers, he knew their destination to be as they turned down a hall. The pairs intentions did not look mischievious, so the knowledgeable Professor let them continue, curious as to what the future versions of his students were doing here in the present.

He watched as they searched through the teachers Corridor, looking for one particular person. "Professor Dumbledore is not here," he heard the  future female student say. They were seaching for him? He also notted that Hermione seemed to genuinely care for him as she said his name with saddened disappointment, ad if desperately seeking him.

The children looked exhausted, and the Professor needed more time before he met with them. He wanted to learn as much as he could about his two first years, to help better understand what their future selfs might be doing here. He commanded a not in use teachers room to open, magically filling it with whatever the time travelers might need until the morning.

He scribbled down on a note,
("It's late children, I will speak with you in the morning. Until then, get some rest." ~ Professor Dumbledore)
Then with a wave of his wand the note physically appeared in front of the pair.

It was now the next morning.
Dumbledore heard his office door opening, knowing that the gargoyle had let them pass at his command.   He made his way out from behind the rows of book shelves before making himself known. "Hello Children,"

Hermione ran across the room at rapid speed, nearly knocking over the Unexpecting Headmaster as She wrapped her arms around him, her head resting on his stomach as she Hugged the Tall Wizard in a tight embrace. He smiled down on her, although she were Practically a stranger to him. He had recently just met the Small, but Promising first year, Hermione Granger, but unlike the child, The girl who clung Tightly to him was a full grown woman, her red hair shining bright against his white robs.

A cloud of glum hung over the Professor as her Tiny Body squeezed him tightly. It were obvious that she loved him a great deal. If he were still around in the Future, she wouldn't have this reaction upon seeing him?

Draco watched from his spot next to the firebird as Hermione forced herself to pull away from Dumbledore. "Sorry," She muttered.  Draco could tell that she was fighting back tears. "Don't be usurped Miss Granger," The Wizards booming voice spoke, resting a hand on her shoulder in comfort. "It is flattering to know that you have grown to care for me so much, little one," He smiled.

Draco's heart, yes he had one, dropped as Dumbledore's gaze shot to him. A thousand different daggers plunging into him at once. The image of the Professor plumbing to his death played over and over. "Draco Malfoy" He called out across the room, wanting the Distant Blonde to step forward. His voice was smooth, comforting even. The Wizard scratched his long beard as Draco eventually stepped up beside Hermione. The slim Blonde looked to be sweating, even though Hermione thought the room to be relatively chilly. "Professor Dumbledore," He greeted politely, feeling like a ant under his Gaze.

My," He gazed over Draco, also taking in his Adult like appearance. "My most promising, First year Slytherin." He stated facty. The Young Malfoy of his time was certainly impressive for a first-year. Last night he had dug deep into the school files of the Pair, wanting to know what house they belonged to, and how they kept up in Classes. They both were exceptionally well. "All grown up," He finished.

Hermione shot Draco a confused, and rather angered Glace. Did the past professor ever actually think of Draco as "promising?"

"Headmaster, You mean to tell me you don't know of," Hermione begin, bitterness over the past in each word. She wondered How did such a knowledgeable, and skilled Wizard such as Dumbledore could not see through Draco's Dark soul.

"Miss Granger," The Professors voice rang through his office once again, stopping her from continuing on. His stance clearly of a respected, and knowledgeable leader.
"I believe you know better then to talk about such future events with someone other then in your own timeline.," He Finished, although he already knew full and well what she wanted to tell him. He knew that Unlike Granger, Malfoy did not look like he wanted to even be in near proximity of the headMaster, which led him to conclude that Draco's Future actions would not be to his  approve. The Professor decided that that would not influence any negativity to his future student. He  always chose to see the good in everyone, even a future Draco who looked at him with terror. The elder knew better then to think that people couldn't change.

Draco felt as what only could be described as guilt as the Professor corrected Granger. He hadn't realized that the headmaster had ever thought of him as anything other then his father's son.

"Now, without revealing anything that could harm the fabric of the future, what brings the two of you here?" He asked, his interest peeked.

"A Wizard," Hermione spoke first thinking back to his masked face, and evil laugh. "He was not a teacher or a student that either of us had ever seen." She remembered.

"We followed him," Draco cut in, making himself useful. "He was mixing some sort of potion, and as we battled, Granger sent a disarming charm at the pot, and nocked it over."

Hermione could not help but detect a hint of blame in his voice. "We were then transferred outside to the Forbidden forest, back to our first year." Hermione spoke again.
"Other then that Professor, we are quite clueless to anything else."
She said factly.  "We," She began before she stopped herself, eyeing Draco with hatred that did not go undetected by the wise Professor. "I," She corrected. "Thought that bringing this to you was our safest option."

Dumbledore smiled down at the young Wizard. Whatever new problems they now faced one thing was for certain. There was still a Future to come back from.

He didn't succeed. Voldemort didn't win the battle.
